East Coast USA

Massachusetts holidays

MASSACHUSETTS MADE EASY

What was once the home of Pilgrims, revolutionaries, and - allegedly - witchcraft is now a destination with vibrant European-style cities, mountain ski resorts, America’s most prestigious university, and some of the most exclusive coastal resorts in the U.S. Massachusetts holidays open doors to history, nature, and luxury in equal measure.

Create a perfect city and beach stay when you mix the metropolis of Boston, home to the first subway in the U.S. and the nation’s longest-running marathon, with the beach-covered shores of Cape Cod and the upscale islands of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard.

Dig a little deeper and get onto the road to find the historic homes and dark past of Salem, the art-loving small towns of the Berkshires, and the living museums of Old Sturbridge Village and Patuxet.

See where the Pilgrim settlers arrived at Plymouth Rock, walk where the American Revolution began in Lexington Green, and keep up two centuries of tradition with leisurely hours at Boston Common.

Discover how the past has evolved into the present at Faneuil Hall, where America’s first meeting place and the ‘home of free speech’ has been transformed into a lively marketplace with clothes, trinkets, and artisan food displayed among an upbeat atmosphere created by street performers and bustling crowds.

Families will love learning the stories of early America in a state filled with entertainment while those looking for a getaway to somewhere as sophisticated as it is beautiful will find the ideal destination in Massachusetts.

This is a fantastic time of year for exploring Boston and the countryside around it.
