Lake Powell

Lake Powell holidays

Get inspiration

EASY PEASY LAKE POWELL

Lake Powell holidays open up a dramatic and timeless landscape of canyons, lakes and bays, where your days can be as active or as relaxed as you wish. A world away from Arizona’s neon cities, this tranquil spot is surprisingly accessible. You can hop on an hour flight from Phoenix, or make your way to Lake Powell on a road trip from Denver, Salt Lake City or Las Vegas.

Rest and recover from the journey with a comfortable stay in Page or Wahweap Marina. You can enjoy delicious lakeside dining and explore the nearby rivers, bays and canyons by powerboat, kayak or on foot – or a combination of them all. On the glittering waters, you can spend your days paddle-boarding, water-skiing, swimming and fishing. Or simply stretch out on the soft sand of a quiet beach and soak up the charming views of the surrounding scenery.

Want to explore further on your Lake Powell holiday? Step back in time when you pass through millennia-old natural passageways and rock formations. You might even stumble across a fossil or dinosaur print. Walk the same natural pathways as Native Americans did for hundreds of years before European settlers arrived, and keep your eyes peeled for sacred sites, long-lost ruins and ancient paintings.

Witness the world-famous Rainbow Bridge, marvel at the Reflecting Canyon, and snap photos of Horseshoe Bend. For an adventure, you could hike the trails of the Glen Canyon Recreational Area, look out from the perch of Hite Overlook, or take a scenic flight to the top of Tower Butte. And you can see first-hand how pioneers and engineers have made their mark on the natural landscape, from the blasted passageway of Hole in the Rock to the Glen Canyon Dam – the engineering wonder which formed Lake Powell itself.

From dramatic canyons to reflective glass-like waters, Lake Powell holidays offer a true escape somewhere unique. Whether you’re planning a family getaway or a romantic trip for two, our travel Specialists can tailor every detail to suit you.
