Key Largo holidays

CAREFREE KEY LARGO

Sandwiched between the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean, Key Largo sits below the Southern Coast of Florida, just a stone’s throw away from bustling Miami. With it small-town feel and chilled-out atmosphere, Key Largo holidays are ideal for city dwellers looking for a change of scene and some beach-side relaxation. With plenty of sunshine and endless opportunity for adventure, a Key Largo holiday ticks all the boxes.

Often hailed as the ‘Dive Capital of the World’, Key Largo’s incredible underwater landscape makes it the ultimate bucket-list destination for scuba divers across the globe. Coral reefs, shipwrecks and over 500 species of tropical fish lie below the glittering waters, waiting to be explored. You can take an easy trip to the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park to see the submerged ‘Christ of the Abyss’ statue, or travel a little bit further afield to see the eerie, USS Spiegel Grove wreck. Discover the varied marine life that surrounds this fascinating dive area, before venturing into the abandoned, pitch-black passages of the mighty warship.

Scuba diving isn’t the only thing that Key Largo has to offer when it comes to exploring the great outdoors. With botanical parks, wildlife sanctuaries and sandy beaches galore, scenic spots are dotted all across this spectacular Key. Popular with both tourists and locals, a visit to the family-friendly Harry Harris Beach is a great addition to your itinerary. Spend a few hours lounging in the hot, Floridian sun, before ending your day with a humble barbecue on the beach. Alternatively, you can make your way to Florida Keys Wild Bird Rehabilitation Centre and come face-to-face with ospreys, herons and hawks as they roam around the grounds.

Whatever you want your Key Largo holiday to look like, our Travel Specialists are here to help. Give us a call to find out more and get your adventure started.
