With live music and an extensive list of craft beers, this laidback spot is ideal for rounding-off a day of exploring. Or, why not pay a visit to Niagara Distillery? Sample a range of locally-made spirits, from Canadian whiskey to award-winning moonshine. And you can tuck into a plate of secret-recipe barbecue ribs.

Alternatively, if fine-dining’s more your thing, Niagara Falls has lot of high-end restaurants. Head over to 21Club to taste the very best of Canadian cuisine. Or, make your way to the Flour Mill for brunch and bubbles.

Niagara Falls is in a great location if you’re looking to tick off more than one place during your holiday to Canada. Toronto is a popular daytrip, as it’s just a 90-minute drive from Niagara Falls. With bars, museums and art galleries galore, this contemporary city is well worth a visit. Take a trip to the top of the iconic CN tower, or spend a day at Lake Ontario, where you can swim, kitesurf or jet-ski to your heart’s content.

Also within reach of Niagara Falls, Letchworth State Park is ideal for a day of exploring. Cross over the border into New York State to see the ‘Grand Canyon of the East’. Outdoor adventurers will be in their element here, as it’s packed full of forests, gorges and waterfalls. From hiking and horseback-riding, to camping and canoeing, this park has it all.

Weather-wise, the seasons in Canada aren’t too dissimilar from the UK. So, if you plan a Niagara Falls holiday between June and August, you can expect warm temperatures and lots of sunshine. The falls are at their busiest in summer, and this is also when the waterfall is at its most powerful. And, in terms of events, this is a particularly busy time of year.
