St Lucia multi-centre holidays

If one Caribbean gem isn’t enough for you, why not visit two? A multi-centre holiday to St Lucia and Barbados allow you to experience two sides of island life. You can enjoy a few days in the Big Apple, taking in the city’s iconic landmarks, world-class museums and incredible dining scene. See the Statue of Liberty, admire the New York skyline from the top of the Empire State Building, and walk across Brooklyn Bridge. Visit MoMA or the Met for a culture fix, or find out about New York’s fascinating immigration history at Ellis Island. Gaze at the bright lights of Times Square, and discover Central Park’s pathways and lakes.

After all that sightseeing, you’ll certainly have earned some downtime in St Lucia. Go for a dip in the bath-warm Caribbean Sea, and unwind on the powdery sands with a crushed-ice cocktail. Or, for the ultimate treat, why not book yourself in for a massage at your resort’s therapeutic spa?

A multi-centre holiday to Miami and St Lucia is a beach-lover’s dream. Separated by a three-and-a-half-hour flight, these tropical spots know a thing or two about sun, sea and sand.
Sprawled along Florida’s south-east coast, Miami is a cultural melting pot, loved for its Cuban influences, fantastic beaches and lively nightlife. And, thanks to its year-round toasty temperatures, Miami is something of a haven for sun-seekers. You can chill out on South Beach, admire the city’s famous Art Deco architecture, and browse exclusive boutiques in the Design District – or you could simply dance the day away at one of Miami’s A-list beach clubs. Prefer to keep active? Go for a swim in the balmy sea, join in with a game of beach volleyball, or try your hand at watersports.

Once you’ve experienced the delights on Miami, it’s time to fly south to idyllic St Lucia, where you can discover rich rainforests, coral reefs and quaint towns. Or, if you’ve had a few late nights in Florida’s party capital, take it easy on some of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. 

When planning your multi-centre holiday to St Lucia, it’s important to consider the climate of both destinations, to make sure you get the most out of your trip. St Lucia has two distinct seasons, with the dry season running from December to May. You can expect hot, sunny days at this time of year. Plus, the lower humidity means you’ll have comfortable conditions for watersports, rainforest hikes and climbing the pitons.

Barbados is also dry from December to early April so, if you wanted to combine these two islands into one trip, this would be the ideal time to go. Similarly, Miami is driest between December and February, when temperatures hover in the low thirties – the perfect chance for some winter sun.

If you want to visit New York as well as St Lucia, it would be best to plan your trip for April or May. The Big Apple can be extremely cold in January and February, so sightseeing may not be very enjoyable. In spring, though, you’ll be able to explore in comfort, and see Central Park’s cherry blossom in full bloom.
