Overview

Kick off this 7-day New York to Buffalo itinerary in the Big Apple, exploring the most iconic landmarks, diverse cultural attractions, and amazing entertainment. See the famous Statue of Liberty, Manhattan and its lively neighbourhoods and more. Don’t forget to go for a shopping spree on Fifth Avenue before you set off on the second leg of your trip. A self-drive tour, destination? Buffalo. You’ll visit Corning and its Museum of Glass, Watkins Glen State Park, the most known park of the Finger Lakes State Parks, and Rochester. From Rochester you’ll head to Niagara Falls with plenty to see and do in this area. End your adventurous sight-seeing tour in Buffalo, saying Goodbye, for now, to the land of the free.

Days 1 - 3

Arrive in New York

Arrive in the Big Apple, and transfer independently to your hotel. Iconic landmarks, diverse cultural attractions, and world-class entertainment are what you’ll get when you visit New York. Visit the renowned Statue of Liberty, go for a stroll through Times Square, and explore Manhattan’s lively neighbourhoods. Opt to immerse yourself into the world of art at the Museum of Modern Art, watch a Broadway show, or go on a shopping spree on Fifth Avenue. Dine in famed restaurants and food markets, experiencing a range of cuisines. Don’t forget to try the famous New-York style pizza and bagels. With its endless possibilities and dynamic energy, New York offers a holiday that you won’t forget. A truly exhilarating and enriching trip!

Day 4

New York - Corning

Today you’ll pick up the car you’ll be renting and set off along Route 17/I-86 to Corning through the Catskill Mountains, leading to the Finger Lakes region. You’ll be visiting one of the most popular attractions, the Corning Museum of Glass which has the world’s best collection of art and historical glass. Watch expert glassmakers shape globs of molten glass into sculptures, vases, or bowls. Head to downtown Corning afterwards to explore the lively collection of shops and restaurants.

Day 5

Corning - Seneca Lake Wine Trail - Syracuse - Rochester

Take a quick drive north to Watkins Glen this morning. It’s located at the south end of Seneca Lake. You’ll find tasty places to eat and memorable sailing excursions. Watkins Glen State Park, the most renowned of all the Finger Lakes State Parks, has a great reputation with tourists and visitors alike. Two miles ahead from this lays the glen’s stream which has 19 waterfalls along its course. There’s also the Gore Trail which winds over and under waterfalls and through the Cavern Cascade’s spray. Head north along the Seneca Lake Wine Trail towards Geneva. Continue to Syracuse, the home of Destiny USA – USA's sixth-largest shopping and entertainment complex. After, you’ll travel to New York State’s third-largest city, Rochester. It’s located at the southern edge of Lake Ontario, where the Finger Lakes meet the Great Lakes, Rochester has interesting architecture, must-visit gems and a lively nightlife.

Day 6

Rochester - Niagara Falls

After a late arrival in Rochester last night get out and explore. Play at The Strong National Museum of Play today. It’s an interactive, collections-based museum showcasing the history and exploration of play. You can play your way through the history of video games and more. It’s also the home of the National Toy Hall of Fame which displays a collection of games, dolls, and toys. Don’t miss out on the George Eastman Museum either, it’s based at George Eastman, KODAK founder’s estate, and is the world’s oldest photography museum. Enjoy the restaurants, music and cultural attractions Rochester has to offer before ending your day in Niagara Falls.

Day 7

Buffalo Departure

Be captivated by Niagara Falls today and its exciting attractions. See it from various angle at Niagara Falls State Park, the United States oldest State Park. See the intensity of the Falls from just inches away at the Cave of the Winds tour, hear all about the myths at the Niagara Legends of Adventure Theatre, cruise the waters on a Maid of the Mist boat ride, or take photos of the American and Horseshoe Falls from the Observation Tower. The decision is yours. And why no take in views of Niagara while enjoying lunch at music-themed Hard Rock Café. After, visit the Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls and shop until you drop! End your day by heading to Buffalo and returning your rental car to the airport before you depart and head home.
