Explore the wonders of the desert, mountains, and canyons of Arizona on this action-packed 10-night adventure. Arizona offers so much for visitors, from the stunning vistas of the Grand Canyon to the amazing Mexican-inspired cuisine.
You'll start your adventure in Scottsdale. This desert city benefits from year-round sunshine making it the perfect place to visit at any time. Known for its spa resorts and golf courses, Scottsdale is ideal for couples, but the many activities available in the nearby McDowell Sonoran Preserve are also great for families.
After five nights in Scottsdale, you'll make the short drive north to the Grand Canyon's South Rim, where you can spend the next few days exploring the many trails, activities and experiences on offer. Finally, you'll head to Flagstaff. It's the perfect place to relax for a couple of days or, if you’re looking for even more adventures, you’ll find Arizona’s tallest mountain just a short distance away.

Arrive at Phoenix International Airport and collect your hire car, then make the short drive to Scottsdale, Arizona.
This desert city of Scottsdale is the perfect combination of the old west mixed with modern and contemporary facilities. Explore the Old Town where you'll find traditional shops, restaurants, and bars, as well as more than 45 permanent public art installations.
Scottsdale is also the perfect spot for lovers of the great outdoors. From hiking and biking to horse-riding and off-road adventures, there's something for everyone. With so much to see and do, you'll have no trouble filling your five-night stay in this buzzing city.
Overnight – 5 nights at Hyatt Place Scottsdale Old Town (or similar)
On day six, it’s time to load up your car and drive to the Grand Canyon. This iconic national park encompasses 277 miles of the Colorado River, while the canyon itself is a mile deep and up to 18 miles wide. Be prepared to be blown away by the stunning views.
Hop onboard one of the three shuttle bus routes which operate year-round from the South Rim. You can take in the sights or, for more excitement, pre-book one of the many adventures such as a helicopter tour or 4x4 adventure.
Overnight – 3 nights at Grand Canyon Railway Hotel (or similar)
Drive – 184 miles (Scottsdale to Grand Canyon)
Enjoy your final couple of days relaxing in Flagstaff. Surrounded by mountains and pine forests, this scenic spot reveals that there's much more to Arizona than just the desert. In fact, Flagstaff is the gateway to the San Francisco Peaks, where you will find Arizona’s tallest mountain and the Arizona Snowbowl Ski Resort.
Overnight – 2 nights in Little America Hotel (or similar)
Drive – 35 miles (Grand Canyon to Flagstaff)
It’s time to say goodbye to Arizona, so you'll drive back to Phoenix for your return flight to the UK.
