Less than 40 minutes away from Doha, it’s an easy trip for families wanting a taste of adventure without having to venture too far. The island is ideal for watersports, offering everything from kayaking and paddle-boarding, to snorkelling and jet-skiing. And, with expertly-led activities and clubs to keep the kids occupied for hours, there’s plenty of opportunity to spend some alone-time by the beach or at the on-site spa. 

Want to stay in the city? Then why not wander over to Aspire Park? Covering over 88 hectares of green space, it’s the perfect spot for kids needing to let off some steam. You can make use of the walking paths and playgrounds, or simply enjoy a family picnic or barbecue in this urban oasis.

Qatar’s indoor attractions can be enjoyed all year round. But, if you’re looking to spend some time outdoors during your trip away, then it’s best to plan your visit between November and March. With temperatures sitting around the mid-twenties, you can get your sunbathing fix without it getting too unbearable for the little ones. This season is also ideal if you want your Qatar holiday to be all about adventure. Caving experiences, desert excursions and remote island expeditions are all possible during a winter holiday.
