Overview

Start your Australia adventure in Perth, staying at Crown Metropol Perth gives you the perfect base for exploring all the city has to offer, from trendy bars and restaurants to walks along the Swan River. We have included a Rottnest Island day trip so you can explore the unique island and meet the friendly Quokkas who can only be found in Western Australia.

After your time in the city pick up your car hire and head south to the Margaret River region, explore the forests and lakes on your door step or head out and taste some of the region’s best wine. Make your way back to Perth and catch a short flight to Exmouth, the gateway to the world heritage listed Ningaloo Reef. You’ll have a car and three days to explore the region plus a Whale Sharks Adventure tour so you can snorkel with the biggest fish in the sea as well as learn about reef ecology, and see a host of other marine life.

Day 1

Arrive Perth

On arrival in Perth make your way to the hotel and settle into your room. Spend the afternoon using the hotel facilities and relaxing at the large resort style swimming pool.

Days 2-4

Perth

With three days to explore you can fully immerse yourself in the capital of Western Australia or even head out of the city to Nambung National Park to view the mysterious expanse of the Pinnacles.

On one of your days in Perth head down to Fremantle and catch the ferry to Rottnest Island for a day trip. Explore the island at your own pace by bike, discovering secluded beaches and meeting the local wildlife.

Day 5

Perth to Margaret River

Today pick up your car and head south to Margaret River, which stretches from Brusselton to Augusta on the South West coast. The two and half hour drive takes you along the stunning coastal road and you could stop along the way maybe in Mandurah or Bunbury.

Day 6

Margaret River

With a day to explore there is lots to keep you busy, walk a section of the 135km Cape to Cape track, head up the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse; Australia’s tallest mainland lighthouse and see where the Southern Ocean meets the Indian Ocean. Between June and September you might even be lucky enough to spot migrating whales. Taste the regions finest wine or join a brewery tour.

Day 7

Margaret River to Exmouth

Today is an early start as you make your way back up to Perth to catch a flight to Exmouth, on arrival in Exmouth collect your car hire and drive up to your hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing at the resort.

Day 8 - 9

Ningaloo

You’ll have two days to discover this unique area. With Exmouth as your base you can easily get out and explore the Coral Coast, we have included a whale sharks snorkelling trip so you can experience these majestic fish and learn about the reef from a marine biologist. You could also visit the Cape Range National Park and marvel at the rugged limestone ranges, deep canyons and pristine beaches as well as spot an abundance of wildlife
