Day 2

Melbourne

Today explore Melbourne on a private walking tour and visit some of the sights of the city, such as charming laneways, arcades and street art, before an afternoon spent at leisure, you might take an option experience to Phillip Island to witness the famous Penguin Parade or you may prefer to relax and explore one of Melbourne's many galleries and museums.

Day 3

Melbourne

Enjoy a day at leisure enjoying the many sights that Melbourne has to offer. Alternatively, you can head out to see the Twelve Apostles along the Great Ocean Road on an optional experience.

Day 4

Melbourne – Alice Springs

Rise early for a morning flight to Alice Springs where you’ll spend time visiting the School of the Air as well as the headquarters of the Royal Flying Doctor Service. This evening, join the Falzon family at Earth Sanctury World Nature Center for a home-cooked gourmet barbecue dinner and listen as brothers Tom and Danny speak of their passion for ecology, astronomy and the local culture.

Day 5

Alice Springs – Uluru

Travel through the picturesque West MacDonnell Ranges as you head for Uluru, then spend the afternoon relaxing and enjoying the resort faculties. Sip on sparkling wine this evening as you enjoy watching the striking colour changes of Uluru as the sunsets.

Day 6

Uluru – Kata Tjuta

Witness the magical Uluru sunrise this morning, then tour the caves at the base of Uluru and marvel at the ancient rock art. Later, travel over red desert plains to Kata Tjuta, and take a walk at Walpa Gorge which takes you through two of the tallest domes at this majestic rock formation. Enjoy sparkling wine with your fellow travellers as the sun sets over Kata Tjuta.

Day 7

Uluru – Cairns

Rise early to experience the Field of Light art installation, Wander through the paths surrounding 50,000 hand-crafted frosted glass spheres of light. As the sun rises watch the desert awakening over Uluru from the top of the sand dune. Next meet an Indigenous artist for a fun introduction to Western Desert Art and complete your own painting to take home as a memento of your experience. In the afternoon take a flight to Cairns.

Day 8

Cairns

Today is free for you explore the vibrant tropical city of Cairns. Maybe opt for an optional experience and gain some insights into Indigenous culture at the award-winning Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park, or travel to Kuranda, the ‘village in the rainforest’ on the historic Scenic Rail. Alternatively, just relax and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

Day 9

Great Barrier Reef

Hop on board a high-speed catamaran and cruise out to see the Great Barrier Reef. Choose between seeing the colourful reef up-close on a snorkelling expedition or from the observation decks of an underwater observatory. Follow this up with a tropical buffet lunch on the reef before returning to Cairns fro an evening meal overlooking the Cairns waterfront.

Day 10

Cairns – Sydney

Sydney
