Hotel Overview

Wild surroundings

Elephant Hills’ luxury tents offer a front-row seat in the wild rainforests of Khao Sok National Park. Whether you stay deep in the jungle at the Elephant Camp, or opt for the floating Rainforest Camp on Cheow Lan Lake, you can expect comfortable beds and a modern bathroom as part of your ‘glamping’ set-up. And you’ll be just a mosquito net away from the birds, gibbons and cicadas in the nearby trees.

Fantastic animal welfare

Elephant Hills is one of just a handful on the planet to achieve a 100% animal welfare rating from Global Spirit. It was named the kindest elephant park in Thailand in 2014 by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, and is also one of the few elephant parks in the world to be completely chain free. Unsurprisingly, elephant rides are not offered here.

Kind to the planet

To make sure that Elephant Hills’ surroundings stay as unspoilt as possible, the resort does everything it can to minimise its environmental impact. Elephant Hills was the only resort across the whole of Asia to make the finals of National Geographic’s 2016 World Legacy Awards for Sustainable Tourism. The resort continually works to reduce its single-use plastics, and have already removed them from their toiletries, packaged drinks and towels. You’ll even be given a reusable stainless steel bottle on arrival to use throughout your stay.

Facilities

Restaurants & Bars

Elephant and Rainforest camps

At both the Elephant Camp and the Rainforest Camp, Elephant Hills offers a range of delicious meals at its semi open-air restaurants.

Breakfast

Enjoy a Western-style breakfast buffet of fruit, yoghurt, cereals and freshly baked bread. Or, if you want something more substantial to start off your day, tuck into a full cooked breakfast, with eggs prepared exactly to your liking.

Lunch and dinner

You’ll also be spoilt for choice throughout the day, with buffet-style lunches & dinners and an excellent choice of tempting Thai dishes. If you need vegan, halal or gluten-free options, or have any other dietary requirements, the team will go above & beyond to make sure you’ve got plenty of choice

Bar service

The bar serves a range of alcoholic and soft drinks.

Rooms & Suites

Every luxury safari-style tent at Elephant Hills has wooden floors, a comfortable bed and an en suite bathroom, as well as electricity, lighting and fans. You can stay at the original Elephant Camp, set at the edge of the dense rainforest, or sleep in a floating tent on Cheow Lan Lake at the Rainforest Camp – or why not experience both with a longer stay?
