Kariega Game Reserve is a privately owned reserve that’s officially malaria-free. With 10,000 hectares of land, yet only a handful of lodges, this place offers an exclusive safari experience. Staying at Kariega Main Lodge, you’ll be nestled among the trees in a log cabin with your own viewing deck to spot the animals in their natural habitat. You’ll be surrounded by beautiful Garden Route scenery as you spend your days spotting the wildlife thriving in the area. And as Kariega Game Reserve is home to the ‘Big Five’ – lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard – you’ll be in with a strong chance of getting up close to some of the world’s most majestic creatures.
