Costa Rica is an inspiration to all when it comes to its sustainability, and Pacuare Lodge is no exception. All the energy used at the lodge is renewable and produced via the lodge's solar panels and water turbines. Sustainably sourced wood and eco-friendly materials were used in order to build the lodge's amazing structures, so they blend effortlessly into their surroundings. Even the dining is sustainable. Fruits, vegetables and herbs are all grown on the lodge's own farm, which also raises free-range chickens and goats. And the whole lodge is tucked within 840 acres of preserved rainforest, protecting the habitat of countless animal and plant species.

When your arrival at the Lodge involves a white-water raft transfer, you know you’re in for a thrilling time! The nearby El Tesorito Creek is the ideal spot to get your blood pumping. Perhaps you'd like to descend down a waterfall, or canoe through the gorge? Explore the leafy canopy as you swing from tree-to-tree and zip-line from the treetops right back down to the jungle floor. Meal times can also be an adventure with ‘The Nest’ experience. Glide into the branches of a Ceiba tree, where you can tuck into breakfast or lunch 20 metres above ground, up in the treetops.
