Wildlife-lovers will be in their element. In Arenal National Park, you can expect to see tapirs, monkeys, deer and parrots, plus exotic palms and bright orchids. You could also visit Arenal Natura Ecological Park to see a diverse range of birds, or watch the rainforest come to life after dark by taking part in a night walk. Nearby, Arenal's network of hanging bridges allows you to observe the jungle and its inhabitants from above. Measuring up to 100 metres long, these 15 bridges create a unique web through the jungle canopy, so a walk here is a must-do.
