Hotel Overview

Two islands

Niyama Private Islands Resort is unique, as it’s made up of two islands with distinctly different moods. The newest of the two, Play, is where you’ll find the beating heart of the resort. The lively beach clubs, lounges and restaurants are ideal for families and fun-seeking couples. It’s connected to Chill – the sleepier, tranquil island – by an easy-access walkway. Here, quiet white sands and tropical greenery are waiting to be explored. Hop between the two for a mix of sunbathing and activities, or stick to the base which best suits you.

Family-friendly choice

While Niyama Private Islands Resort suits lively couples and groups, thanks to the chic bars and beach club over on Play, it’s also ideal for families. Ice-creams and iPads will keep little ones occupied at Blu, or you can take a dip in the adjacent pool together any time. If you’re heading out on a diving trip, the kids will be well-looked after at the Explorer Kids’ Club. There’s a daily timetable of activities designed to entertain and educate little ones about Maldivian culture and how to look after our seas.

Surf Shack

Overlooking Niyama Corner, this thatched bar is the ideal spot to unwind with a rum cocktail after a day of surfing. Reggae beats bring a relaxed Caribbean vibe here.

The Deli
