7 nights accommodation on a self drive tour, car rental and flights

Overview

Explore cities, valleys, and the coast on an 8-Day Extraordinary Oregon road trip. Start with two days on the banks of the Willamette River among the gardens, museums and entertainment of Portland. Take a detour to the volcanic slopes of Mount Hood before swinging back to the former state capital of Oregon City.

Pass through rural towns in the Tualatin Valley on your way to Beaverton. Spend two days travelling beside the Pacific to the Yaquina Bay resort of Newport, tasting rich ice cream and fresh seafood as you go. Finally, celebrate your journey with a large glass of pinot and a hearty meal in the lush Willamette Valley. This relaxed self-drive combines perfectly with a visit to Seattle and the national parks of Washington, or with time along the California shoreline. Speak to our Travel Specialists to plan your complete itinerary.

At Travelbag, we'll take care of all elements of your trip. Your flights, car rental, accommodation and even driving directions are all included – so you can look forward to an easy-peasy getaway.

Day 1

Arrive Portland

Arrive in Oregon’s largest city for your week-long adventure to the Pacific Ocean and back. Check-in at your accommodation in ‘Rose City’ and stretch your legs after the flight. Stroll through Washington Park, with its International Rose Test Garden and Japanese Garden, or along the banks of the Willamette River. At night, Portland comes alive with restaurants, bars, theatres, and venues or you can even go shopping at Powell's City of Books, the world’s largest bookshop, until 9pm every evening.
