Explore the diverse state of Victoria, Australia, as you travel along one of the most iconic and beautiful coastal drives.

Start in the vibrant city of Melbourne, explore the colourful laneways, ride the tram to St Kilda Beach, and enjoy the city’s many coffee and brunch spots. If you fancy exploring further, head into the Yarra Valley and visit the wineries or enjoy a day trip to Phillip Island and see the little penguins come in from the ocean to go to their burrows for the night.

Next, it’s time to hit the Great Ocean Road. Check out Bells Beach, where major international surf competitions are held, and stop at Kennett River, where you’re almost guaranteed to see a wild koala. Be sure to get your camera ready for the scenic Twelve Apostles and continue past other landmarks, including London Bridge and the Bay of Islands, before reaching the fishing town of Port Fairy. After an early start, head for the Grampians National Park and onto Halls Gap, another scenic drive. Cross the border into South Australia and wind your way through the vineyards of Barossa Valley before reaching Adelaide.

NEXT STOP, LUXURY

The Journey Through the Clouds route is a firm favourite. Pairing two incredible Canadian cities with an iconic rail journey through the Rocky Mountains, this holiday will be hard to forget.

You’ll start on Canada’s West Coast with three days exploring Vancouver - go for a lazy stroll in Stanley Park or enjoy a night out in the historic Gastown neighbourhood. Spend the morning on Granville Island; with more than 70 eateries and Canada’s first microbrewery, it is a foodie’s paradise.

Next, it’s time to board the incredible Rocky Mountaineer train. You can sit back, relax, and gaze at the breathtaking scenery – and you might even spot a bear or two along the way. Enjoy a night’s stop in Kamloops and get a taste for this remote town. The train has no accommodation, so you’ll be transferred to a downtown hotel. Back on the train the next morning, you travel to Jasper and then drive to Banff National Park, where you can admire stunning lakes, dramatic mountains, and quaint towns.
