Where's hot in June?

Get more inspiration

It’s time to celebrate the start of summer.

And, there’s no better way to celebrate than with an all-out holiday. Whether you’re after a sunny beach escape, or an action-packed adventure, chances are you’re looking for some great weather. Wondering where to go? Take a peek at some of our top June holiday recommendations and start dreaming about that next sun-soaked trip away.

Bali

Known for being a surfer’s haven, laid-back Bali is the perfect option for a June holiday. When you’re not out catching waves, expect to spend your time lounging on tropical beaches and exploring ancient Hindu temples. This time of year lands you right in the middle of Bali’s dry season. And, with the average temperature sitting at 27°C, the weather is ideal for all kinds out outdoor activities. Discover towering volcanoes, sprawling rice terraces and photo-worthy, emerald paddy fields on an action-packed trekking tour. Or, equally, you can take it easy at one of the island’s luxury resorts, sunbathing and sipping on cocktails to your heart’s content.

Borneo

For travellers with an adventurous streak, a holiday to the enchanting island of Borneo should definitely be on your bucket-list. It’s hard to ignore the sheer beauty of its landscape, from the soaring, steel-coloured mountains, to the flora-rich rainforest. But, Borneo’s biggest attraction is undoubtedly the wildlife. Orangutans, pygmy elephants and long-nosed proboscis monkeys - to name just a few of the incredible creatures that call this island home. And, what’s more, June is one of the best months of the year when it comes to wildlife watching. With weather that’s hot, sunny and predominantly dry, you’ll want to split your time between exploring the jungle, and kicking-back on the soft-sand beaches of Sabah.

Puerto Rico

Fancy a beach holiday with a twist? Then paradisiacal Puerto Rico is the destination for you. Boasting mind-blowing natural scenery and dotted with five-star, ocean-side resorts, it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind. Make use of the top-of-the-range golf courses, spa facilities and gourmet restaurants. Or, venture down to the coast for a peaceful day spent chilling beneath the palm trees. With endless sunshine and temperatures often reaching 30°C, it might be difficult to tear yourself away from your sunbed. But, if you want to mix things up, you can take a daytrip to the pastel-painted city of Old San Juan. Stroll along the picturesque streets, before retreating inside a rum distillery to taste the local tipple.

Peru

Vibrant, culture-rich and revered among nature-lovers, Peru holidays in June are a dream. There’s so much to see here, from mountains and sand dunes, to rivers and rainforests. But, for anyone planning a trip to this South American country, a visit to Machu Picchu is probably at the top of your itinerary. One of the New Seven Wonders of the World, there are multiple ways to reach this Incan citadel. But, whichever route you choose, it’s safe to say you can expect a bit of a climb. Luckily, June is an ideal month for completing the trek, thanks to the minimal rainfall and comfortable temperatures that rest between 15 and 20°C.
