The Desaru Coast enjoys year-round temperatures between 25°C to 30°C but seasonal weather means April to November is the best time to visit. June to August are the busiest months so flexible travellers may enjoy a more exclusive experience in the spring or autumn.

The monsoon season lasts from September to February. Swimming and watersports are discouraged during this time, as days can experience heavy rain and winds, but sun and calmer moments do break through and good weather is enjoyed on many days. Rainfall peaks in December so arriving earlier or later is recommended if travelling to the Desaru Coast during the winter period.
