An upgrade to Business Class is a must for the ultimate in luxury travel. The five-star treatment starts right at your front door, with some of the airlines offering chauffeur-driven cars to collect you from your home and take you to the airport in style. On arrival at the airport, head to the dedicated business class lounge after check-in, where you’ll enjoy pre-flight drinks and food and relax in glamourous surroundings before you board the plane at your leisure.

Depending on your chosen airline, once on board, you’ll have your private area complete with a lie-flat bed, duvet, pillow, and pyjamas. The choice of meals and drinks is elevated from the rest of the plane and will be served as and when you wish on China plates and bowls. The entertainment on board is the same throughout the aircraft; however, in Business Class, you’ll enjoy it on a much bigger screen! At 30,000 feet, some unique experiences are offered by the airlines to add that little bit of something extra to your trip. Enjoy a drink at the bar in Virgin Upper Class, an after-dinner ice-cream trolley service on United Airlines Polaris, or a double bed in one of the Qatar Airways Qsuites. Don’t forget you don’t need to splash out for the whole trip. You could do Business Class on your way there or on your way home to keep the costs down!
