Escape Edition 75

Explore More of the World

We all want to see as much of the world as possible, so in this week's Escape Edition, we are showing you how to get out there and explore more! From Little Penguins on an Australian coastal drive and powering down the slopes in British Columbia to exploring stunning Italian treasures, there is something to suit all tastes.

BRITISH COLUMBIA SKIING? SIMPLE.

HIDDEN GEMS IN VICTORIA

SAY CIAO TO ITALY!

BRITISH COLUMBIA SKIING? SIMPLE.

British Columbia has many ski resorts - here are our top three picks for the season.

Great for thrill-seekers, Revelstoke has the highest vertical drop in North America at a breathtaking 5,620 feet. And, with nine metres of snowfall each year, it’s easy to see why Revelstoke is one of British Columbia’s toughest – and most rewarding – ski resorts. Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is a skier’s paradise with frequent powdery snow. Ensure you’ve got your ski legs on, though, as Kicking Horse has some of the longest runs, with 120 to choose from winding down over 4,300 vertical feet.

Regularly voted as one of the best ski resorts in the world, Whistler Blackcomb offers skiers 240 runs across two mountains. And you can rely on consistent snowfall, too, as the area receives an astounding 10 metres of snow each season. Traditionally from December to late March, the ski season can start in November and run till May (depending on snow levels).
