0207 001 4105Embark on a journey from Buenos Aires in Argentina to the carnival city of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil on a deluxe cruise ship. Spend a few nights in the dynamic city of Buenos Aires before boarding a Silversea's to set sail for Uruguay and then on to Brazil. The ship will make two ports of call in Uruguay, first in Montevideo. Explore the art deco buildings, colonial homes and landmarks including the towering Palacio Salvo either on your own or on a shore excursion. Next up is Punta del Este, known as the ‘Monaco of the South’ this is a great place to enjoy chic beaches. As the ship then makes it's way up to Brazil you will spend two days at sea, during this time you can visiting the spa, whale watching, catching up on your reading or simply topping up your tan. The first ports of call in Brazil is Ilhabela a natural paradise of beautiful beaches, lush tropical rainforests and an incredible 360 waterfalls. Last up is the colourful city of Rio de Janeiro, see the iconic art-decor statue of Christ the Redeemer, take a cable car to swing past Sugar Loaf Mountain and get stuck into a Brazilian cooking class. Arrive in Argentina’s vibrant capital Buenos Aires a couple of days before the scheduled departure date of the cruise to give yourself some time to explore this beautiful city. Blending colonial architecture with a down-to-earth Latin American clamour, Buenos Aires is known for steamy tango dancing, and expertly seared steak, making for a fiery fiesta for the senses.
Explore the colourful streets in La Boca, located in the south of the city, wander around the shops in San Telmo, the cities oldest area, see Casa Rosada the iconic pink palace that's home to the presidents offices and make sure you stop by Cafe Tortoni, one of the cities most famous coffee houses with delcious curros and creamy hot chocolates.

Today embark onto your Silverseas cruise and check into your cabin. The ship doesn't depart port until 18:00, so once settled in explore the ship, or if you want to carry on exploring Buenos Aires join one of the cruises shore excursion. Options include a beef masterclass, a day in Pampas, a city bike tour or wine tasting. (Additional costs apply for certain shore excursions.)
In the evening enjoy waving goodbye to Buenos Aires as the ship leaves port and heads for Uruguay. Enjoy your first dinner onboard then head to one of the bars or lounges to toast to your first night at sea.

The ship arrives into Montevideo, Uruguay at around 08:00 so have breakfast with a new view and then disembark for a day of exploring. Choose to either discover the city yourself or join one of the shore excursions such as a tour of Old Montevideo on foot or if your feeling a bit more energetic there are also bike tour options. Those that are into their wine will love the Juanico Winery excursion option try cooking empanadas at a cooking class. Check out all the options and see what suites you best. The ship doesn't depart until 23:00 so you can choose to enjoy dinner in Montevideo or head back onboard and dine in one of the ships restaurants.

Punta Del Este’s golden sands draw many in the summer and you will often find many yachts parked up as people come from across Uruguay and Argentina to enjoy the beautiful beaches. Also known as the ‘Monaco of the South’ this chic beach city is one you'll remember. If you want to just relax we recommend heading to Playa Mansa Beach, offering calms seas and a sun-soaked location that is overlooked by a soaring lighthouse. If you want to explore this quirky city then book onto one of the shore excursions - head out to see Sea Wolves Island Reserve, explore the classic car museum or try and olive oil tasting session as well as many more options. After a couple of days at sea the ship docks in Balneário Camboriú, the first port of call in Brazil on this itinerary. Balneário Camboriú has been dubbed the Dubai of Brazil for its futuristic skylines, beautiful miles of sandy beaches, wild nightlife and its plentiful tourist attractions. Head to Central Beach for people-watching and to soak up the sunshine, stroll along the boardwalk or walk to Molhe - Barra Sul, a picturesque pier that reaches into the sea. Those that are a bit more athletic will enjoy a hike up Morro de Careca with a statue of Christ called Cristo Luz that looks out over the city from its place on top of Morro da Cruz hill. Alternatively ride the cable car that connects Laranjeiras Beach on Isla Camboriu with Central Beach and provides beautiful views. There are also a selection of shore excursion to choose from if you'd rather a more guided option.

Ilhabela is Portuguese for beautiful island and it's not hard to see why it was named this! Considered a natural paradise by both locals and visitors, the island is a kaleidoscope of beautiful beaches, lush tropical rainforests and an incredible 360 waterfalls. With almost 25 miles of pristine beaches, fun in the sun is certainly an option, but Ilhabela is also a vibrant little city, full of vivacity and history, just waiting to be explored. Make sure you visit the pretty little white-washed building called Nossa Senhora D’Ajuda, a Catholic church built in 1806 set on a hill. If you want to see one of the many waterfalls join the historic city and Toca waterfall shore excursion or why not head out to Cabra Island and enjoy snorkelling. End your holiday with two nights in the wonderful city of Rio de Janeiro, enjoy this bucket list destination with culture, vibrant music and amazing food. A must do whilst in Rio de Janeiro is a trip up to the iconic art-decor statue of Christ the Redeemer, you'll also want to take a cable car to swing past Sugar Loaf Mountain. There are a number of shore excursions that you can enjoy over the two days, from a Brazilian cooking class to a helicopter flight over the city as well as hiking Pedra Bontia and kayaking from Urca Beach.
