KEEPING GREEN

Sustainability is a huge part of The Sands at Nomad philosophy as it protects the beautiful destination of Diani Beach for future generations. Using compost made from restaurant waste and organic materials, the Nomad farm grows fruit, vegetables, herbs, and spices for use in all resort restaurants while free-range chickens are kept and fed on vegetable leftovers. Recycling, repurposing, and reduction of hotel waste are led by a dedicated Green Team, with help from every guest, and beach cleaning is regularly carried out. Even endangered sea turtles fall under the protection of The Sands team who work with local volunteers and marine experts to monitor populations and protect nesting sites.
