Hong Kong’s famed and iconic skyline is packed with glittering skyscrapers, towering structures and dramatic landmarks. However, beneath the steel and glass lie some colourful traditions and a host of historic buildings and ancient temples.

What might surprise you most about Hong Kong is that almost three-quarters of the city is actually countryside – an enthralling mix of mountains, lakes and beaches. Standing proud on the west side of Hong Kong Island is Victoria Peak, the city’s most famous vantage point.

Think you know the food scene in Hong Kong? Think again. From delicious street food sizzling away on wooden carts to Michelin star cuisine served at the top of towering skyscrapers overlooking Victoria Harbour, this city is a culinary delight for any food lover. Make sure you keep an open mind when trying local delicacies including fish balls, cart noodles and pineapple bun.

But a visit to Hong Kong is not complete without sampling the vast array of Dim Sum on offer. There are countless eateries within the city offering this cuisine, but for a unique experience head to the famous Maxim's Palace City Hall where Dim Sum trolleys will fly past you with a selection of tantalising dishes you can grab and savour.
