As a desert city, Scottsdale also serves up lots of outdoor adventures. You can explore McDowell Sonoran Preserve, the largest urban preserve in the country, where the trails are ideal for hiking and biking. Or don your trainers and trek to the top of Camelback Mountain for sweeping views of the desert. Prefer to see some historic sites? Head to Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West to admire the seamless integration of the Sonoran Desert with mid-century design.
