Arrive in the vibrant city of Los Angeles and transfer independently to your hotel, where you'll meet your ATI Tour Director.

Head south of the city this morning and travel through San Juan Capistrano and San Clemente to San Diego. It's the second-largest city in California and renowned for its year-round mild weather. Enjoy a city tour and then head to the picturesque Seaport Village and the Bayfront Marketplace, where you'll have time for a spot of shopping. You'll head back to LA for the evening.

Leave the city behind today and head to Palm Springs – the winter playground for Hollywood royalty. Discover the lively Downtown area and the pristine golf courses that sit below the rugged San Jacinto Mountains. Afterwards, you'll pass through Indio which is home to the International Date Festival in the Coachella Valley.

This morning sees your coach travel through the richest and most biologically diverse desert ecosystem in the Americas, the Sonoran Desert. You'll continue on to Sedona, a city found in a unique geological area, encircled by distinctive red-rock monoliths like the Cathedral and Coffee Pot. Your next stop is the breath-taking Oak Creek Canyon. But today's star attraction is undoubtedly the Grand Canyon National Park. One of the most stunning natural wonders of the world, this vast canyon is almost impossible to comprehend. Your group will stop at the rim of the canyon, where you'll have a great view of the plunging gorges formed by the mighty Colorado River.

Your journey continues into the Navajo Indian Reservation, past the trading post of Cameron, and through the Painted Dessert. You'll eventually reach the region of Monument Valley, whose dramatic scenery emulates the iconic images of West America. In the afternoon, you'll travel to Page – a town perched on a mesa above the Colorado River.

Set out today and visit the mighty Glen Canyon Dam, the second highest concrete-arch dam in America. Enjoy stunning views of Lake Powell, where crystal-blue waters lap the towering red-rock canyon walls. Next, you'll cross the state border into Utah and pass through the town of Kanab, before reaching Bryce Canyon. Here, you can weave through the mighty multi-coloured world of sandstone spires and pinnacles and, in the evening, you can marvel at the spectacular night sky, filled with sparkling stars and brilliant constellations.

From Bryce Canyon, you'll travel to Zion National Park, where you can marvel at the massive rock formations which have been carved out by the wind and the Virgin River. In the afternoon, your surroundings will be slightly different as you drive through the desert and reach the Entertainment Capital of the World, Las Vegas. Snap a photo at the iconic Welcome to Las Vegas sign, then discover the eccentric themed hotels, endless shops and buzzing nightlife.

You'll have a whole day, to enjoy Las Vegas' many attractions at your leisure. Experience a thrilling rollercoaster or ride the zip-line down the Strip. Try your luck in the casinos and take a stroll through some of the extravagant hotels. In the evening, you can catch a show, see the Bellagio Fountains, or sip cocktails in one of Sin City's stylish bars.

Leave the bright lights of Las Vegas behind and head to Death Valley, which couldn't be more different from Sin City. You can stop off at Zabriskie Point and Furnace Creek Ranch Visitor Centre, before ascending the Sierra Nevada Mountains through to the alpine resort of Mammoth Lakes. This area was known for its gold-mining in the 19th century, but now it's famous for its skiing terrain and beautiful mountain views.

Journey through the Tioga Pass into the scenic wonderland that is Yosemite National Park. You can explore the incredible Yosemite Valley and all its splendours. See the glacial-shaped granite formations of El Captain, Half Dome, Bridal Falls and Yosemite Falls. You'll stay overnight in nearby Modesto.

It’s an early departure this morning, as you'll drive to San Francisco – one of the most beloved cities in America. You'll enjoy a city sightseeing tour of San Francisco, then settle into your room and get ready for an optional City by Night Tour.

Today is yours to spend however you wish, after an action-packed 11 days. Your Tour Director will be on hand to help assist with your plans for the day. You could enjoy a cable car ride to Fisherman’s Wharf or take a foodie tour around the city. Alcatraz is another must-see. Or, if you're a wine-lover, we'd recommend booking the Napa Valley wine-tasting tour, which is one of the optional extras.

Today, you'll leave the hills of San Francisco behind and head for the Monterey Peninsula, known for its magnificent homes and lovely beaches. Visit Fisherman’s Wharf and the famous Cannery Row, before carrying on to Carmel-by-the-Sea, where you can visit the quaint houses, upscale art galleries and independent boutiques. Next, you'll travel through Paso Robles and head to your overnight accommodation on the central coast.

Journey south through Santa Barbara, admiring the palm-lined walkways and white sandy beaches as you go. You'll continue on to Los Angeles, where your coach will do a city tour through Hollywood, Beverly Hills and the Central City, before returning to the coast. Arrive in Santa Monica and check into your overnight accommodation and spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Wander down the pier, chill on the beach or hire a bike and explore the area.

Transfer independently to the airport and fly to either Honolulu or Maui. When you land, you'll be greeted with a traditional flower lei. Transfer to your hotel, ready for five nights of relaxation in Hawaii.  

With four days in Hawaii, you can truly relax in the land of aloha. Unwind on the powdery sands, soak up the sunshine by the pool, or go surfing on Hawaii's famous waves. Boasting tropical interiors and all sorts of natural wonders, Hawaii has plenty to keep you busy.

Today your West Coast adventure comes to an end, as it's time to head back to the mainland for your flight home.
