Day 1: Arrive in Boston
Arrive in Boston and make your way to your hotel. After checking in, you can relax or familiarise yourself with the local area, stroll along the waterfront or discover some historical sites. Gather at 6:00pm at the hotel for a Welcome Reception with your fellow travellers.
Day 2: Boston – Maine – Bar Harbor
Start your trip by traversing the vibrant autumn colours of New England as you head up the coast to Maine. Pass by the lighthouses, old whaling villages and eroding rocky beaches on the way to Bar Harbor on Mount Desert Island. Bar Harbor once played host to the summer homes of the American aristocracy, including the Rockefellers and Vanderbilts. In the evening, you can join your fellow travel companions for a Maine lobster dinner whilst learning about lobster fishing from a local fisherman.

Day 3: Acadia National Park
The summit of Cadillac Mountain is your first destination for the day, a peak standing tall in Acadia National Park and beautiful vantage point offering stunning views. Descend afterwards to the granite cliffs, the rushing streams, and ancient old trees with auburn and ochre leaves of the only National Park in New England. Spend your afternoon back in Bar Harbor spending the time at your leisure. Enjoy the views of the sea, walk along Main Street, or take an optional cruise along Frenchman Bay.

Day 4: Bar Harbor – Pinkham Notch – North Conway
Today you journey over the vibrant coloured rolling hills that lead to the valley of Pinkham Notch, formed during the last ice age. The charming town of North Conway is your destination this evening, where upon arrival you can enjoy dinner and learn of the local flora and fauna from a local expert.

Day 5: North Conway - Ludlow
Take a tour of the stunning Castle in the Clouds, a stone manse with unrivalled views. Cross over into Vermont and see the wooden covered bridges, dense forests and verdant fields of the Green Mountain State. The charming village of Ludlow is your destination this afternoon.

Day 6: Woodstock
Spend a glorious morning along the back roads of Vermont. Take a peek into rural life at the Billings Farm & Museum, home and estate to one of the finest dairy producers in Vermont. Take a tour around Woodstock, a beautiful small town, and stop at the historic wool mill in Quechee, home of the Simon Pearce glassblowing workshop. Enjoy a Be My Guest lunch with local ingredients and learn of the science of glassblowing. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy in Ludlow.

Day 7: Ludlow - Springfield
Cross back over into Massachusetts from the Green Mountains today, the splendid Berkshires come alive during the autumn season, renowned for its colours. Make a stop at the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge to marvel at the iconic paintings of the much beloved artist. Progress into Springfield, located on the shores of the Connecticut River before spending the evening at a festive Farewell Dinner.

Day 8: Springfield – Lexington & Concord – Depart Boston
Head eastwards to the birthplace of the American Revolution. The battles of Lexington and Concord were where the first shots were fired over the American war for independence. See the iconic Minute Man statue located adjacent to the historic North Bridge. Set foot upon Lexington Green, the landmark where the first drops of blood were spilled over the war. Finally, travel back to Boston and transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
