Arrive in Lima where a representative will take you to your hotel, from here you can familiarise yourself with your surroundings in San Isidro.
Spend the day relaxing in the hotel or exploring the city, known as the “City of Kings”. Take a stroll around the streets and uncover the cultural landmarks, such as the Larco Museum, home of a pre-Columbian art collection. Meet your Travel Director for a Welcome Reception and Be My Guest Lunch at Casa Diez Canseco, the home of a renowned Lima family. Learn all about the historical ancestry of the family from the hosts themselves. Afterwards, head out into the city again with your tour guide and bask in the old sectors of the city; including the Plaza San Martin, with its stunning architectural surroundings of the cathedral and governmental palace, and the Church of San Francisco with its intricate, gothic designs. The evening is yours to spend at leisure.

Catch a flight to Cuzco and join a local guide before departing to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. En route, you can take a walk of the living museum of the Peruvian Andes, Awana Kancha, where you can get up close with and pet alpacas and llamas. Watch and experience centuries-old methods of weaving and dyeing the local speciality of traditional Andean textiles before visiting the bustling market of Pisac, where the local Quechua sell their craft and produce. Listen out for the traditional music of the area from roaming musicians as you navigate the stalls and sample some of the local coca tea. In the afternoon, head over to your hotel and share an evening dinner with your fellow travellers.

In the morning, join a local guide for a tour and historical talk about Ollantaytambo, an ancient Incan hilltop stronghold built with huge stone walls. Take a ride on the Vistadome train up to the great Inca citadel and its ruins throughout while marvelling at the beautiful scenic views on the way.
Upon arrival at the incredible Machu Picchu, take a short ride to the entrance gate from which you can explore the centuries-old sprawling ruins of one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. The ruins house a number of highlights, including the Temple of the Sun, the Sacred Plaza, the House of the Priest and the Intihuatana, a supposed ancient sundial carved from rock and used by the mystic civilisation.

Take a deeper look at the majestic, intricate stonework of the Machu Picchu ruins today on your own. Or take advantage of the stunning views from the Gate of the Sun of the once-great fortress and beautiful valley below. Afterwards, descend from the summit bastion and make your way to the traditional, charming city of Cuzco once more. Make a pit stop at a local chicheria and sample some of the local Peruvian corn beer and learn all about how it is made by women only. Join your fellow travellers in the evening for a Highlight Dinner at a local restaurant, with fine dining and dancing performers for your entertainment.

The morning brings you face to face with Cuzco up-close; take a tour of the capital of the Incas, including the 17th Century Church of Santo Domingo, and the Plaza de Armas. Visit the Sacsayhuaman fortress ruins upon a plateau overlooking the Sacred Valley, housing ancient shrines and warehouses that were once used as grain storage for the Incas. The evening is spent at leisure, taking one last look at this wondrous city alone.

Take a flight back to Lima and explore on your own to purchase some final day souvenirs and gifts. Meet a local expert and curator of the Larco Museum in the afternoon and learn about the evolution and historical cultures through time of the ancient Peru civilisations. Gather for one last time in the evening for a Farewell Dinner in the museum’s garden restaurant with your travelling companions.
