Day 1: Arrive in Rio de Janeiro
Arrive in the city of Rio de Janeiro where you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel overlooking the Copacabana Beach.

Day 2: Rio de Janeiro
Spend your morning exploring the city of Rio de Janeiro, a city renowned for its bustling nature and festivities. Start your adventure by ascending up to the summit of Corcovado to see the famous Statue of Christ the Redeemer that stands overlooking the city. Pass by the stunning Copacabana and Ipanema beaches en route back to the hotel, and enjoy an evening Welcome Reception with your fellow travellers.

Day 3: Rio de Janeiro
Take a tour of some of the more traditional landmarks of the city, including the Candelaria Church and 18th Century aqueduct, as well as the Sambadromo Opera House and city Cathedral. View the city from the wonderful vantage point atop Sugarloaf Mountain, catching glimpses of the bay and coastline. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure after lunch at a local restaurant.

Day 4: Rio de Janeiro
Traverse the streets of Rio, uncovering any of the significant landscapes and monumental highlights you may not have seen yet. In the evening learn how to make the Brazilian national cocktail, Caipirinha before enjoying a traditional barbecue meal at a nearby churrascaria. Top the night off with an all-singing all-dancing Samba show.

Day 5: Rio de Janeiro - Iguassu Falls
Visit a gemstone workshop in the morning and learn how jewellery is made, cut from rough stones and metal to beautiful works of art. Catch a flight afterwards to the glorious Iguassu Falls, a cascading torrent of water located in the lush Iguassu National Park.

Day 6: Iguassu Falls
Walk around the Brazilian side of the mighty falls and experience the beautiful setting of the base, surrounded by verdant rainforest. Spend the afternoon at leisure after lunch at a local restaurant.

Day 7: Iguassu Falls - Buenos Aires
Cross over the border into Argentina and ride the Ecological Jungle Train for a unique view of the falls and the spectacular Devils Throat. Afterwards, fly over to Buenos Aires, the thrilling capital of Argentina.

Day 8: Buenos Aires
Begin an in-depth tour of the city and embrace the magic of the ‘Paris of South America’ on a journey through the vibrant streets of La Boca, San Telmo, and Palermo. Take a backstage tour of the Teatro Colon and visit the Recoleta cemetery. In the evening you will have the opportunity to take a tour of the manse of a local family and residents of the chic Palermo Viejo quarter where you will enjoy some wine and homemade cooking.

Day 9: Buenos Aires
Traverse the streets of Buenos Aires at your own leisure; take the opportunity to visit the spectacular Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes or take an optional trip over to Colonia del Sacramento city in Uruguay. Join your fellow travellers for a traditional steak dinner and a fanciful Tango show.

Day 10: Buenos Aires - Lima
Fly over to Lima, the capital of Peru and its largest city. Discover the architectural splendour among the colonial streets of the city on a guided tour, visiting the cathedral and government palace of the Plaza San Martin.

Day 11: Lima - Cuzco - Sacred Valley
Catch a flight to the city of Cuzco, the once great capital of the Inca Empire. Head over to the awe-inspiring Sacred Valley and visit the colourful Pisac marketplace, browsing the wares of its stalls before heading to your colonial, former monastery turned hotel.
Day 12: Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu
Today you will have the chance to marvel at the magnificent old-world architecture of the lofty Inca Stronghold of Ollantaytambo. Afterwards, board the vistadome train and ascend to the resting place of the ruins of Machu Picchu, a dazzling area filled to the brim with history and intrigue hewn into the very rock and intricate structures such as the Intihuatana, House of the Priest, and Temple of the Sun.

Day 13: Machu Picchu
Return to the archaeological site of Machu Picchu in the morning to watch from the Sun Gate as the sun rises over the horizon, bathing the area and valley below in its golden light. Head on back in the afternoon to Cuzco, stopping at a local chicheria en route to sample some Peruvian corn beer, made exclusively by women.

Day 14: Cuzco
The morning is dedicated to a tour of the city of Cuzco, viewing the highlights and ancient monuments of the city, starting with the Plaza de Armas, leading to the Korikancha, the most significant temple in all of the Inca civilisation, dedicated to their Sun God, Inti. Finish off with a tour of the ruins of Sacsayhuaman, looming ominously over the city.

Day 15: Cuzco - Lima
Catch a flight back to Lima where you can see the largest private collection of pre-Columbian antiquities and relics at the Larco Museum before enjoying one last dinner in the museums garden restaurant with your fellow travellers.

Day 16: Depart Lima
Transfer to Lima Airport for your return flight home.
