Day 1: Arrive in Rio de Janeiro
Arrive in the city of Rio de Janeiro where you will be met and transferred to your designated hotel.

Day 2: Rio de Janeiro
Today you will get to know more about the splendour of the fabulous city of Rio, a city famous for its lively attitude and carnival style festivities. Begin your adventure by riding a cable car to the peak of Sugarloaf Mountain for a stunning view of the bays and coastline of the city whilst you sip a caipirinha, Brazil’s national cocktail. Take a downtown tour en route back to the hotel, stopping by the Municipal Theatre and the Cathedral. Spend the rest of your day at leisure to relax or explore the city further.

Day 3: Rio de Janeiro
Spend the day discovering the wonders hidden throughout Rio’s streets by yourself today, an optional tour to Corcovado present the opportunity to stand at the base of the famous Christ the Redeemer statue, one of The New Seven Wonders of the World that stands overlooking the cityscape. Alternatively, take a tour along the sands of the Ipanema and Copacabana beaches.

Day 4: Rio - Iguassu Falls (Brazilian side)
Catch a flight from the airport today to Foz do Iguassu where you will be taken to your designated hotel. Afterwards you will be treated to the sights of the Brazilian side of the rushing waters of the falls set amid a tropical backdrop.

Day 5: Iguassu Falls (Argentine side)
Cross the border into the Argentine National Park, following the path to a vantage point that overlooks the waterfalls for a breathtaking view. The Argentinean side of the falls differs from the Brazilian side, compare and contrast, but still amaze in the beauty of both. The real treat of the day is to walk upon a suspended platform that offers a view over the largest waterfall in the park; the Devils Throat. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 6: Iguassu Falls - Manaus
Transfer to the airport and catch a flight to Manaus, a city that serves as the gateway to the tropics of the Amazon Rainforest. On arrival you will be taken to your lodge, then after dinner you can set off in motorised canoes to spot caiman in the rivers and streams of the jungle.

Day 7: Amazon Rainforest
The rainforest holds many wonders for you to uncover, today is no exception as you trek through the verdant undergrowth, cutting a swath through the greenery, and witnessing the exotic flora and fauna that make this forest their home. Visit a monkey rehabilitation centre for some unique photo opportunities while seeing some of the monkeys indigenous to the region.

Day 8: Meeting of the Waters
Adventure out to see the spectacle that is the convergence of the Rio Negro and Rio Solimoes, referred to as the ‘Meeting of the Waters’, a stunning natural phenomenon.

Day 9: Manaus - Belo Horizonte
Spend the morning at leisure before saying goodbye to the rainforest and returning to Manaus for a short city tour before catching a flight to Belo Horizonte.

Day 10: Belo Horizonte - Ouro Preto
Explore the colonial city of Ouro Preto as you navigate the Baroque architectural structures dotted around the cobbled streets of the city that have made this a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spend the day touring and discovering the landmarks of the city, such as the Church of Saint Francis of Assisi, the Opera House, and the Church of Our Lady of Mercy. Take the opportunity afterwards to sample some of the local cuisine at a charming restaurant.

Day 11: Ouro Preto
Wander the traditional streets of Ouro Preto at your leisure today and see the highlights and landmarks of the city you may not have seen yet, including a number of museums and churches.

Day 12: Ouro Preto - Salvador
Return today to Belo Horizonte to catch a connecting flight to Salvador where you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 13: Salvador
Tour Salvador today and journey through the district of the lower city and on to the Bonfim Church. From there head over and see the panoramic views of the city from the Monserrat district before heading over to the Mercado Modelo marketplace to browse the wares and handicrafts on show. Taste some of the local Acarje food at a well-known food stand before spending the afternoon at your leisure to explore.
