Day 1: Arrive in Vancouver
Arrive in the city of Vancouver, transfer to your hotel and spend the day familiarising yourself with the city on your own.

Day 2: Vancouver
Enjoy a tour of Vancouver’s impressive North Shore. Travel across the Lions Gate Bridge and into the Coast Mountains. Cross the Capilano Suspension Bridge and explore the fun Treetops Adventure, discovering the coastal temperate rainforest and British Columbia’s First Nations heritage. Next, visit Grouse Mountain (gondola admission included), the Peak of Vancouver, and take in breathtaking views looking out over the city and ocean below.

Day 3: Vancouver - Kamloops
Travel aboard the Rocky Mountaineer from the city of Vancouver to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. Today you will see dramatic changes in the landscape as you travel, from the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley, through forests and winding river canyons framed by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade Mountains, to the arid environment of the BC Interior. Highlights include the thunderous waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the sharp slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River. Your day ends as the Rocky Mountaineer travels along the shores of Kamloops Lake into Kamloops.

Day 4: Kamloops - Banff
Continue on your journey today eastwards to the mighty Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. Once again you will see a spectacular display of scenery as you travel across ranchlands, along rocky lakeshores, across lofty mountain passes and through the incredible tunnels that form part of the rich rail history of the Canadian Rockies. Today’s highlights include the spot where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven in Craigellachie, the climb  over Rogers Pass, Kicking Horse Canyon, the Spiral Tunnels and the glaciers and snow-tipped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Your rail journey ends this evening in the resort town of Banff.

Day 5: Banff
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Banff today. Among the impressive highlights are visits to Bow Falls, the Hoodoos the Banff Gondola (admission included), Surprise Corner and Lake Minnewanka. Continue on to Kananaskis for the highlight of today’s adventure, a thrilling  Summit Helicopter Tour over the remarkable landscape of the Rockies. Spend the remainder of the day at your leisure in Banff.

Day 6: Banff - Lake Louise
A half-day tour takes you to Yoho National Park to view some of its natural splendour, including the Spiral Tunnels, Emerald Lake and a rock bridge that spans the Kicking Horse River. The tour ends at Lake Louise where you have the opportunity to explore the area at your own discretion.

Day 7: Lake Louise - Jasper
Embark on a tour of Banff and Jasper national parks with the Icefields Parkway en route. Among the highlights are Bow Lake, the Columbia Icefield, one of the largest bodies of ice in the south of the Arctic, and Athabasca Falls. Here you will ride on an Ice Explorer to the middle of the Athabasca Glacier to get a closer look while learning about its icy surface. Afterwards, you’ll arrive in Jasper late afternoon.

Day 8: Jasper - Quesnel
Ride aboard the Rocky Mountaineer from the mountain resort of Jasper to the quaint town of Quesnel, gateway to the North Cariboo. Pass through the Rocky Mountain Trench, with the sheer Rocky and Cariboo Mountains either side, and on to the rolling hills and enormous expanses of forest found within British Columbia’s Northern Interior. Highlights include Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, Moose Lake and Yellowhead Pass. Your day concludes as the Rocky Mountaineer passes through the town of Prince George and follows the Fraser River into Quesnel.

Day 9: Quesnel - Whistler
Continue south to the winter wonderland resort of Whistler. Enjoy breathtaking and varied scenery, from the desert-like conditions of the Fraser Canyon, to the river canyons and lush farmland of the Pemberton Valley. Highlights include sweeping views of the Fraser Canyon, the crossing of Deep Creek Bridge, one of the tallest railway bridges in the world, and the shorelines of glacial-fed Seton Lake and Anderson Lake. Your rail journey ends today on arrival in the resort town of Whistler, an alpine dreamland.

Day 10: Whistler
Spend the morning seeing the sights in the charming mountain resort of Whistler at your leisure. Afterwards, head to the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre for a delicious BBQ lunch and tour of the SLCC. The rest of the day is yours to do with as you please, explore the surrounding area or simply relax.

Day 11: Whistler - Vancouver
Explore the quaint Whistler Village at your leisure in the morning before returning to Vancouver onboard the Rocky Mountaineer in the afternoon, cutting through the stunning scenery of the Sea to Sky Corridor. Highlights of the trip include the Cheakamus Canyon, Brandywine Falls, the dome peak of Mount Garibaldi, and awe-inspiring views of Howe Sound and the Coast Mountains. On arrival in Vancouver you will be transferred to your accommodation downtown.
