Day 1: Arrive in Halifax
Arrive in Halifax and transfer to your hotel located in the centre of the capital of the Nova Scotia province. Enjoy an evening Welcome Reception at the hotel to meet and greet with your fellow travellers.

Day 2: Halifax – Port Aux Basques
Today you’ll cross over the Canso Causeway to Cape Breton Island, seeing both Truro and Antigonish en route to beautiful Cape Breton Island. Board a Marine Atlantic ferry in North Sydney for a relaxing overnight crossing to Port-aux-Basques, your port of entry into Newfoundland. You will spend the night onboard the ferry or in Port-Aux-Basques depending on the ferry schedule.

Day 3: Port Aux Basques – Port Au Choix
Drive through the Cordroy Valley, bordered splendidly by the Long Range Mountains, the Anguille Mountains, and the Atlantic Ocean. Afterwards, stop for a brief tour in Corner Brook, the largest city on the west coast. Continue through Gros Morne National Park and into the fishing community of Port au Choix, where you can visit the Port au Choix National Historic Site before checking into your hotel for the night.

Day 4: Port Au Choix – L’anse Au Claire
Catch a ferry to St. Barbe and cross the Strait of Belle Island en route to Labrador. Visit the location of a 16th Century Basque whaling station at the Red Bay National Historic Site.

Day 5: L’anse Au Claire – St. Anthony
Revisit Newfoundland today and head to the archaeological site of L'Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site, one of the earliest known European settlements in North America. Additional exhibits also showcase Viking relics and give a. interesting insight into the Viking lifestyle.

Day 6: St. Anthony – Cow Head
Weather permitting; you will have a chance in the morning to take a boat out for a whale watching tour to catch glimpses of the marine giants, and perhaps even icebergs during the summer season. Continue on to Cow Head for an overnight stay.

Day 7: Gros Morne
Pay a visit today of Gros Morne National Park, filled with elegant flora, indigenous wildlife, and a myriad of activities. Stop at the Broom Point fishing exhibit and Lobster Cove Lighthouse, and if the weather permits, join in a scenic boat tour where you’ll learn about the geology of the Tablelands, see the bald eagles soar and the whales swim through the deep waters of the fjord, and engage in the history of the small villages housed along the shores.

Day 8: Cow Head - Gander
Travel through central Newfoundland towards Gander, your destination for the night where you can check in and relax at the hotel.

Day 9: Twillingate
Travel to the town of Twillingate on a scenic drive along the coast of Notre Dame Bay. At the tip of the island, visit the Long Point Lighthouse and local co-op. And back in Gander, you have the chance to peruse the North Atlantic Aviation Museum.

Day 10: Gander - Clarenville
Traverse the Trans Canada Highway and through the splendid Terra Nova National Park, the most easterly of Canada's national parks and filled with wildlife. Afterwards, visit Cape Bonavista Lighthouse Provincial Park and the quaint town of Trinity.

Day 11: Clarenville – St. John’s
Visit the Hawthorne Cottage National Historic site in Brigus today where you can learn about the adventures of world famous explorer Captain Bob Bartlett. Weather permitting, you can continue to Bay Bulls for a boat tour to the Witness Bay Bird Sanctuary. Later on you can see Cape Spear National Historic Site, the most eastern point in North America, before going to St John's for a final farewell dinner with your fellow travellers.

Day 12: St. John’s
Partake in a morning city tour of the old seaport. Witness the Victorian architecture of the downtown district, the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, Confederation Building, the busy modern waterfront and the beautiful vistas from Signal Hill. Spend the rest of the day exploring or relaxing on your own as you see fit.
