Day 1: Arrive in Halifax
Arrive in Halifax and transfer to your hotel centrally located in the lively city. Enjoy the evening getting better acquainted with your fellow travellers and tour director at a welcome reception.
Day 2: Halifax - Moncton
Discover the Bay of Fundy and learn all about the world's highest tides as we travel its colourful coastline to New Brunswick's bilingual city of Moncton. Stop by the Joggins Fossil Cliffs, a UNESCO World Heritage Site en route to your destination. See the bare layers of rock revealing the world's most complete fossil record of life in the ""Coal Age"" of 300 million years ago. After your passage into New Brunswick, enjoy a culinary experience as you cruise the calm waters of Shediac Bay aboard a lobster boat. Learn about the fishing industry and savour a delicious lobster supper before arriving in Moncton later in the day.

Day 3: Moncton – St. John
Visit the Hopewell Rocks, a natural wonder located upon the coast of the Bay of Fundy. See the peculiar flower-pot shaped rock formations that have been naturally sculpted by the highest tides on earth. Continue on through Fundy National Park to St. John located on the southern New Brunswick coast. Check in to your hotel after a city tour which includes the beautiful Reversing Falls.

Day 4: St. Andrews By-The-Sea
Take a day trip to the charming Algonquin resort of St. Andrews by-the-Sea whose picturesque qualities captivate each visitor. Weather permitting, you can enjoy a whale watching tour, with the afternoon spent at your own leisure, giving you the opportunity to discover the intricate architecture, abundant marine life, and welcoming people.

Day 5: St. John – Annapolis Valley
Spend some free time in St. John during the morning before taking a scenic ferry trip back to Nova Scotia across the Bay of Fundy. You will arrive in Digby, scallop capital of the world, a historically rich town that combines the fervent Acadian culture with the fresh sea air.

Day 6: Annapolis Valley - Halifax
Depart for Halifax today, visiting the Grand Pre National Historic Site beforehand, where fact and fiction blend to reveal the romance of the 'Land of Evangeline'. Take part in a wine tasting tour at a local winery before arriving at your destination in the evening.

Day 7: Halifax – Oak Island
Immerse yourself in the rustic charm of the famous Peggy’s Cove, a fishing village where you can enjoy some breakfast. Continue on along the south shore of Nova Scotia to the historic town of Lunenburg. Embrace the colonial nature of the town as you discover the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic in this preserved settlement. Afterwards, proceed to Mahone Bay to see the three 19th Century churches, an iconic landmark of Nova Scotia. Explore the town before heading out to the western shore to Oak Island, a legendary location for treasure hunts.

Day 8: Oak Island - Charlottetown
Set foot on Prince Edward Island, crossing the Confederation Bridge in order to do so. Learn all about Mi'kmaq culture at the Glooscap Heritage Centre & Mi'kmaq Museum en route. Spend the evening enjoying genuine Maritime hospitality at a lobster supper before checking into your hotel.

Day 9: Charlottetown/ Prince Edward Island
The morning sees you with free time to explore Charlottetown, or join a walking tour around the city. In the afternoon, tour the island, driving by red cliffs, white beaches, green fields, and gently sloping sand dunes as you make your way to Prince Edward Island National Park. Visit Green Gables Heritage Site, the alluring inspiration of Lucy Maud Montgomery's classic Anne of Green Gables books before returning to Charlottetown. Take in a theatre performance this evening by local entertainers at the Confederation Centre of the Arts (a substitution activity may be necessary based on the theatre schedule).

Day 10: Charlottetown - Baddeck
Cross over on the ferry across the Northumberland Strait to Nova Scotia, heading to Cape Breton Island, known as the “Scotland of North America”. Take a visit to the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site in Baddeck to learn of the scientific genius who made this location his home. Afterwards, we arrive at the Bras D’Or Lake before checking in for the evening.

Day 11: Cabot Trail
Drive the picturesque Cabot Trail that winds around the rocky northern shore of Cape Breton, ascending to the beautiful plateaus of Cape Breton Highlands National Park. View the stunning scenery from look-outs along Cape Breton’s coastline. Head to the coast where, weather permitting, you can partake in a whale watching boat trip before returning to Baddeck for the evening.

Day 12: Baddeck - Halifax
Travel back in time to the historical days of colonial life with a visit to the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site. Walk the streets and chat with authentically costumed guides in this reconstruction of a major settlement of 1744 New France. After the visit, proceed along the shore of the Bras d'Or Lake to the mainland before continuing on to Halifax for your last night in the Maritimes.
