Day 1: Arrive in Vancouver
Arrive in Vancouver and transfer to your hotel. Spend time familiarising yourself with this beautiful city filled with a number of activities and landmarks to check out, including Stanley Park, English Bay, and Gastown.

Day 2: Vancouver - Whistler
Travel aboard the Rocky Mountaineer from the coastal city of Vancouver to the resort town of Whistler, known for its outstanding skiing and year-round outdoor activities. Following your coach transfer from downtown Vancouver, the Rocky Mountaineer takes you on a stunning rail journey through the stunning scenery of the Sea to Sky Corridor. Highlights of the trip include spectacular views of Howe Sound and the Coast Mountains, Mount Garibaldi, Brandywine Falls, and the astounding Cheakamus Canyon. On arrival at the Whistler train station, you will be transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Day 3: Whistler - Quesnel
Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer to the quaint town of Quesnel, gateway to the North Cariboo. Enjoy stunning sceneries, from the river canyons and verdant farmland of the Pemberton Valley, through the arid conditions of the Fraser Canyon, to rolling hills and vast ranchlands of the Cariboo Plateau. Highlights include the shorelines of Anderson Lake and glacier-fed Seton Lake, sweeping vistas of the Fraser Canyon, and the crossing of Deep Creek Bridge, one of the highest railway bridges in the world. Your day ends as the Rocky Mountaineer follows the banks of the Fraser River into Quesnel.

Day 4: Quesnel - Jasper
Your adventure continues eastwards today to the grand Canadian Rockies and Jasper National Park. From Quesnel, the Rocky Mountaineer follows the Fraser River north to the town of Prince George, then travels east through the forests of northern British Columbia, home to an abundance of fauna, including a large population of moose. Entering the Rocky Mountain Trench you are surrounded by the sharply rising mountains to the north and the Cariboo Mountains to the south. Continue climbing past Mount Robson, at 3,954 metres (12,972 feet) the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, through Yellowhead Pass into the province of Alberta. Your rail journey finishes today with your arrival in Jasper.

Day 5: Jasper
Jasper National Park is a World Heritage Site and Canada's biggest National Park. Today you will enjoy a short picturesque tour including the many natural wonders, craggy peaks, and perhaps even catch sights of some of the wildlife that call this mountain park home. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore more of Jasper at your leisure.

Day 6: Jasper - Kamloops
Travel aboard the Rocky Mountaineer from Jasper to Kamloops, in the centre of the British Columbia Interior. As you journey west and south you will be bordered by the dramatic views of the Continental Divide and by the river valleys of the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains. Today's highlights include Pyramid Falls, Mount Robson, the climb over Yellowhead Pass, and the journey along the North Thompson River as you approach Kamloops.

Day 7: Kamloops - Vancouver
Your adventure continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the glorious city of Vancouver. On today's trip you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the arid environment of the Interior, through snaking river canyons and lush forests, to the Coast and Cascade Mountains and the verdant green fields of the Fraser Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the thunderous waters of Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey ends in the evening on arrival in Vancouver.

Days 8-14: Vancouver - Alaska Cruise
Make your way to the port terminal at Canada Place to embark on your Alaskan cruise aboard Holland America Line's MS Zuiderdam.
