Day 1: Arrive Hobart
Transfer from the airport your hotel ahead of an afternoon tour taking in many of the sights around Hobart, including Battery Point and the Botanic Gardens. Then pay a visit to Mt. Nelson for views overlooking the Tasmania state capital.

Day 2:Russell Falls
Heading west into the Mt. Field National Park, home to the spectacular three-tiered Russell Falls, you’ll visit Lake St. Clair for more breathtaking views. In the afternoon, a visit to the Wall in the Wilderness – a stunning sculpture being carved from wood to tell the history of Tasmania – is followed by a drive along the rainforest-bordered road of Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park to the overnight stay in Strahan.

Day 3: Gordon River Cruise
Cruise along the Gordon River before stopping at Sarah Island to discover the ruins of the infamous Macquarie Harbour Penal Station. See the hazardous Hells Gate and the green forest at Heritage Landing as you travel to Cradle Mountain, passing the mining and hydro-electric towns of Roseberry and Tullah along the way.

Day 4: Strahan - Cradle Mountain
Start the day with a Gordon River Cruise, where the wilderness comes to the water’s edge. You’ll be awestruck by the beauty of the dark waters reflecting the untouched wilderness. Stop at Sarah Island and discover the ruins of the penal colony. See Hell’s Gate and Heritage Landing, site of the 2,000 year old Huon Pine. Later pass the mining and hydro electric towns of Rosebery and Tullah, as you travel to Cradle Mountain National Park.
Day 5: Cradle Mountain – Launceston
Travel to Sheffield, known as the 'Town of Murals' for the artwork scattered on walls around the town depicting the history of the area. Continue en-route to Launceston, calling in at Ashgrove Farm Cheese Factory for a presentation on how their products are made and to taste some delicious samples.

Day 6: Launceston
Discover the Tamar Valley as you head to the village of Grindelwald, designed in the style of a Swiss village of the same name. Sample estate grown wines followed by fresh local produce for lunch at Josef Chromy Wines before spending your afternoon free to do as you wish at your own leisure.

Day 7: Launceston – Bicheno
The day starts with a tour of Bridestowe Lavender Farm (Dec-Mar only) before an opportunity to see the intricately carved wooden war memorials at Legerwood. Passing through the old tin mining town of Derby, you’ll continue on through the Myrtle Rainforest to St Helens.

Day 8: Freycinet National Park
Take a cruise on the Freycinet Peninsula along the coast to one of the world’s best beaches as you experience the beauty of Wineglass Bay. Heading into the National Park, take a guided walk to explore the impressive pink granite mountains, coastal dunes and eucalypt forests.

Day 9: Bicheno – Hobart
Visit the historic village of Ross and its exquisite sandstone bridge, which is one of the oldest in Australia and features a series of intricate carvings on both sides. Stopping at Shene Estate for a walking tour and High Tea, you’ll then have the option of one of two included experiences. Either pay a visit to the Museum of Old and New Art or head for the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary where you can get up close to the Tasmanian Devil.

Day 10: Port Arthur
Crossing the Denison Canal, head along the tree-lined coast to Port Arthur, admiring the stunning rock formations of Tasman’s Arch, Devil’s Kitchen and the Blowhole along the way. On arrival in Port Arthur, take a walk around the historic site and pay a visit to its infamous convict prison before a cruise around the Isle of the Dead. Heading back to Hobart, take time to check out the view of the sea cliffs from Pirate’s Bay lookout.
Day 11: Depart Hobart
Take a morning transfer to Hobart Airport for your onward flight.
