Day 1: Launceston & Beaconsfield
Travel north from Launceston to Beauty Point. Visit Beaconsfield, with its Mine and Heritage Centre. This evening enjoy pre dinner drink and canapés as you wander through the gallery at the Design Centre of Tasmania followed by a welcome dinner at our hotel this evening.

Day 2: Launceston - Freycinet - Swansea
See the wine-producing area of north Tasmania and, in the flowering season (Dec-Jan), visit Bridestowe Lavender Farm. Stop at East Coast Natureworld to meet Delilah, APT's sponsored Tasmanian Devil and enjoy Freycinet National Park with a guided walk along Richardsons Beach.

Day 3: Swansea - Richmond - Port Arthur
Journey inland to Campbell Town, Ross and the Georgian village of Richmond. Proceed to Eaglehawk Neck on the rugged Tasman Peninsula and enjoy the view from Pirates Bay Lookout. Continue to Port Arthur.

Day 4: Port Arthur - Harbour Cruise - Hobart
Explore Port Arthur, Australia’s most notorious convict prison, with a guided tour through the ruins of this remarkable site. Then join a cruise around the Isle of the Dead before travelling to Hobart, where tonight you’ll enjoy dinner at the Customs House Hotel Restaurant.

Day 5: Hobart Sightseeing
See famous Salamanca Market and stroll the royal botanical gardens on this morning’s tour. Rest of day free; perhaps for an optional visit to Bruny Island (pre-book, own expense).

Day 6: Hobart - Cradle Mountain - Strahan
In Mt Field National Park stop to view Russell Falls. Admire the view from Lake St Clair and travel the World Heritage-listed wilderness to Strahan.

Day 7: Strahan - Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers - Cradle Mountain
Cruise across tranquil Macquarie Harbour and along the beautiful Gordon River to the former penal settlement of Sarah Island for a tour of the ruins. Return to Strahan to rejoin your coach and a journey through stirring landscapes of forests, rivers and lakes.

Day 8: Cradle Mountain - Dove Lake - Stanley - Smithton
Admire the native flora and fauna, then visit Waldheim Chalet to take in the magnificent vista of Dove Lake. Later, see the murals of Sheffield and Stanley, set in the shadow of 'The Nut' - a striking outcrop soaring from the sea.

Day 9: Smithton - Launceston

Day 10: Tamar River Cruise - Launceston
Visit Launceston’s picturesque Cataract Gorge before enjoying a relaxing cruise along the Tamar River. This afternoon, travel to Woolmers Estate and admire the National Rose Garden. Transfer to the airport.
