Day 1: Arrive Bangkok
On arrival in Bangkok, you’ll head for your hotel to meet the tour leader and for a drinks reception with your fellow travellers.

Day 2: Bangkok
After breakfast in the hotel, you’ll embark on a boat trip along the Chao Phraya River and through Bangkok’s network of canals – better known as klongs. Enjoy the experience of a more traditional way of life before arriving at the Tha Chang Pier where you’ll then head for the impressive Grand Palace. In the afternoon you’ll have chance to visit Chinatown on an exciting tuk-tuk ride before some free time to explore the city at leisure.

Day 3: Bangkok – Kanchanaburi
An early start will see you head south towards Kanchanaburi, visiting a unique country market en-route. The market is situated alongside the train tracks; which brings people along from the surrounding area to purchase a wide selection of goods. On arrival in Kanchanaburi you’ll find the famous bridge on the River Kwai, have chance to visit the local war cemetery and the both the JEATH War and Railway museums. After lunch in a local restaurant, you’ll then board the infamous death railway through Kwai Noi Gorge before returning to your hotel.

Day 4: Kanchanaburi
After breakfast, you’ll take a drive to the Hellfire Pass Museum before a trek along the Memorial Walking Trail through one of the nearby canyons. An audio guide will provide real life experiences of the Prisoners of Wars who worked on the line and help to tell the history of the region. You’ll then spend time at the idyllic Sai Yok Yai Waterfall before heading back to the hotel.

Day 5: Kanchanaburi – Bangkok – Chiang Mai
After breakfast at your hotel, you’ll return to Bangkok before boarding a flight to take you to the ancient capital of the Lanna Kingdom; Chiang Mai. On arrival, you’ll meet up with your guide to be transferred to your hotel before a half-day excursion to the stunning Wat Phra That Doi Suthep temple, situated on Doi Suthep hill. Here, you’ll have chance to learn about Buddhism from a resident monk whilst also taking in stunning views of your surroundings.

Day 6: Chiang Mai
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before taking a walking tour of the city to admire the way in which old and new cultures combine. You’ll then take a trip to Elephant Nature Park where you can learn all about the problems these majestic creatures face in South East Asia. As part of your unique experience, you’ll be able to help bathe and feed the elephants that live at the park before a final taste of Thailand awaits with an interactive experience at the Baan Hong Nual Cookery School.

Day 7: Depart Chiang Mai
Following breakfast, you’ll have some free time before your departure transfer.
