Day 2: Moni – Mt Kelimutu – Ende – Bajawa
An early start will see you head out to watch the sun rise from the top of Mt Kelimutu, where you can also marvel at the three uniquely coloured lakes to be found in craters at the summit. Travel back down the mountain to Moni for breakfast before heading onwards to Ende; the capital of Flores Island. Lunch will be served en-route as your journey to Bajawa in the heart of the island continues – visiting the colourful market of Boawae and the coffee plantations near Kaja en-route. Day 3: Bajawa – Ruteng
After breakfast at your hotel, you’ll hit the road to travel to Ruteng – making the journey via the village of Bena. Here you can take in the unusual architecture of the wooden houses that are home to the locals whilst you’ll also pay a visit to the villages of Wogo and Barang and the emerald crater lake of Ranamese. You’ll spend the night at the Santa Maria Convent in Ruteng, located in the heart of the volcanic highlands, with dinner being served in a local restaurant.

Day 4: Ruteng – Labuan Bajo – Boat
Enjoy breakfast at your accommodation before an early morning drive to Labuan Bajo - stopping off en-route at a number of local villages to take in views across the surrounding rice fields, which are spread out across the countryside like a giant spiders web. Once you arrive in Labuan Bajo, you’ll board a boat that will take you to the islands of Rinca and Komodo. It is the former that will be the first port of call, with lunch being served onboard before you head ashore with an island ranger to view magnificent Komodo dragons in their natural environment. Wild pigs and buffalos can also be found on the island, alongside a variety of birds. You’ll then overnight on the boat ahead of the continuation of your island adventures the following day.

Day 5: On boat – Komodo
Waking on the boat, you’ll continue along the water to Komodo Island, with lunch being served onboard. You’ll then embark on a trek across the island with an experienced guide to take in stunning views across Loh Liang Bay or to marvel at the abundant sealife to be found along Red Beach on the East Coast. When the cruise comes to an end, you’ll head back to Labuan Bajo before being transferred to your hotel for dinner.

Day 6: Labuan Bajo - Denpasar - Departure
After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll pay a visit to Batu Cermin Cave - known as Mirror Rock in the local language due to the eerie glow emitted when the sun shines at a certain angle. From here, you can marvel at the impressive views of your surroundings and also try to spot the bats and monkeys that call the limestone cave home. On leaving the caves, you’ll then head for the airport for your flight back to Bali and the end of the tour.
