Day 1: Capetown - Oudtshoorn
Set out from Capetown and traverse through the ‘Little Karoo’ and picturesque spa town of Montagu. Visit the town of Barrydale along the way and meet the teachers and pupils of a local farm school (subject to opening times), sitting in on a class to learn about the farming community before continuing to Oudtshoorn, centre for the world’s ostrich farming industry.

Day 2: Oudtshoorn
Enjoy breakfast before embarking on a tour of the astounding limestone Cango Caves, a naturally wonderful cavern sculpted over the ages by time itself. Continue on up the Swartberg Mountains via the famous Swartberg Pass (weather permitting). Get up close and discover the 300 million year old sandstone formations as well as the diverse “fynbos” species such as the cone bush and pin cushions. Return to Oudtshoorn afterwards for a light lunch and tour at an ostrich farm.

Day 3: Oudtshoorn - Knysna
Spend the morning enjoying breakfast before setting out over the beautiful Outeniqua Pass to George, the sixth oldest town in South Africa and administrative hub of the Garden Route and on to Knysna, located atop the banks of a gorgeous lagoon deep in the heart of the Garden Route. Take a cruise over the lagoon to the Featherbed Nature Reserve, riding aboard a trailer to the peak of the Western Head where you can marvel at panoramic views of the town and lagoon below. Return for a lunch beneath milkwood trees and spend the afternoon at your own leisure to explore the picturesque town.

Day 4: Knysna
Begin the day with breakfast and head out for a drive through the Tsitsikamma Forests, continuing to Bloukrans Bridge, the highest single span arched bridge in the world which serves as the highest commercially operated Bungee Jump on Earth. Explore the verdant landscape of the Garden Route, an area filled with lush vegetation, deep gorges, majestic mountains and rugged coastlines. Return in the afternoon to Knysna via Plettenberg Bay,  whose rivers, beaches and bay is an ideal area for water sports, such as sailing and scuba diving spots.

Day 5: Knysna - Hermanus
Begin the first leg of the return journey today by travelling via George and Mossel Bay to the charming Cape Dutch town of Swellendam, a town founded in 1745 a the base of the Langeberg Mountain Range, renowned for its fascinating architecture, national parks and youngberries. Afterwards, continue on to the seaside resort of Hermanus, the heart of the whale route which offers some of the best land based whale watching in the world (August-November).

Day 6: Hermanus - Capetown
Begin the day with breakfast before departing Hermanus, travelling to Somerset West via the coastal road to Gordon’s Bay, a spectacular route filled with steep cliffs and deep coves. Continue on to the Stellenbosch region, set within the gorgeous Cape Winelands which effortlessly blends old Cape Dutch, Gerogian and Victorian era architecture. Enjoy a wine tasting before heading to Capetown where the tour ends on arrival. Guests may request to disembark at Capetown International Airport.
