Depart in the morning to begin your tour by travelling north along the national highways to the almost undiscovered wonderland of unspoilt beaches, majestic mountain ranges and springtime flower carpets of the West Coast region. Drive past Citrusdal, a village renowned for its superior citrus fruits and products, followed by Clanwilliam, one of the oldest towns in all of South Africa known for being one of the only places where rooibos is planted and cultivated, along with making veldskoens or leather shoes. Pay a visit to the Rooibos Factory for a fascinating visit of the production plant before enjoying a lunch (at own expense) and continuing on to Elandsberg Eco Tourism Farm where you can embark on a safari through the rooibos plantations and processing plant. Finish off the day by heading along the coastal route to Langebaan.

Enjoy a morning breakfast before heading out to Paternoster, an area whose name translated as ‘Our Father’ is derived from the prayers of shipwrecked Portuguese sailors. Visit the last manned lighthouse ever constructed, Cape Columbine Lighthouse, which rests along a windswept coastline within the Columbine Nature Reserve. From inside the lighthouse, you can get amazing views of the Britannia reef and Atlantic. The cape is located on a rocky outcrop known as Castle Rock where, during the right seasons, dolphins and whales can potentially be spotted. Delve into the traditional fishing town of Paternoster before heading to the West Coast Fossil Park for a guided tour and finally spend the afternoon back in Langebaan for an afternoon at leisure. During August and September a visit to the Postberg Section of the West Coast National Park will be included to showcase the vibrant carpet of flowers that bloom during this period. A number of activities are available at the park, including biking, horse-riding or trekking along nature trails (all at own expense).

Begin the day with breakfast before making your way to the Khwa ttu San Culture & Education Centre to learn about the descendents of the first indigenous people of South Africa. The San will personally take you on an eye-opening adventure through their history, knowledge, skills, customs and current affairs. Continue on to Grote Post Cellar where you can enjoy a wine tasting before heading to Bloubergstrand for lunch (at own expense) with the perfect opportunity for a picturesque image of Table Mountain with the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront visible across the bay on a clear day. The next two nights will be spent at the Cape Wine region of Franschhoek.

Begin the day with breakfast followed by a journey through the rolling vineyards in an open-side tram and open-air tram bus across the Franschhoek Valley, stopping en route in some of the oldest wine estates in South Africa. The day concludes with an evening dinner at the hotel.

Depart Franschhoek after breakfast and travel over the Helshoogte Pass to Stellenbosch with a stop at Boschendal Wine Estate en route for a tasting before spending time in the town of Stellenbosch. Catch sights of the town’s distinct Cape Dutch buildings and landmarks such as Oom Samie se Winkel. Continue on to Taal Monument and Laborie Wine Estate before heading back to Cape Town for around 17h00 where the tour ends with a drop off at either Cape Town International Airport or your Cape Town based hotel.
