020 3944 2201Our 10-Day Tropical North Queensland Adventure showcases the very best that exotic Queensland has to offer. Starting off in Brisbane – in the south of this sun-soaked state – your coach tour will follow the coastline all the way up to Port Douglas. You’ll enjoy two nights on K’gari (Fraser Island) on the way and, later on, you’ll retreat to the beautiful Hamilton Island in the Whitsundays, where you’ll also stay for two nights.
Whilst this tour has plenty of activities and sights to keep you occupied, you’ll have the option to add on some exciting extras. You can visit the famous Australia Zoo in Brisbane, ride through the rainforest on the Kuranda Skyrail Cableway in Cairns, and take a daytrip to the Great Barrier Reef. And, if 10 days isn’t enough for you, why not speak to our experts? We can help you extend your holiday with some post-tour adventures.
On arrival in Brisbane, you’ll be met by your tour guide and then your Queensland adventure will begin. You’ll have the option to add an Insider Experience, before travelling up the Sunshine Coast. Or you could enjoy some free time to relax before your evening welcome dinner.
Insider Experience – Pay to visit Australia Zoo. Made famous by the late Steve Irwin, this place has all everything from crocodiles to tigers, as well as lots of Australian wildlife.
Overnight – Novotel Twin Waters Resort, Sunshine Coast
Meals Included – Dinner
Wake up right by the ocean and enjoy breakfast with a view, before you head further north to Hervey Bay. Here, you’ll take the ferry across to K’gari, a World Heritage-listed site famous for its sandy swathes and beaches. On arrival, you’ll check into the resort and spend the afternoon relaxing.
Overnight – Kingfisher Bay Resort, Fraser Island
Meals Included – Breakfast, Dinner
Today you’ll explore the world’s largest sand island on a half-day guided tour. Travel along the sandy tracks through the lush rainforest, explore sparkling lakes, and drive along the iconic 75 Mile Beach. Afterwards, back at your resort, you’ll have the afternoon to yourself – so why not make the most of the white-sand beach right outside? Relax in the sunshine, enjoy a refreshing drink in the hotel bar or, if you can’t sit still, visit the historic shipwreck of the Maheno. This Trans-Tasman liner was driven ashore by a cyclone in 1932.
Overnight – Kingfisher Bay Resort, Fraser Island
Meals Included – Breakfast
Take the ferry back to Hervey Bay, before continuing north to Rockhampton. Known as the ‘Beef Capital of Australia’, this city has lovely wide streets and stunning Victorian architecture, which reflect the wealthy gold and copper mining boom of the 19th century. In the evening, you can enjoy a casual dinner with the rest of the group.

Meals Included – Breakfast, Dinner
You’ll have a whole day to explore Hamilton Island, so make the most of it and snorkel right off the beach – you’ll be able to see all sorts of tropical fish and rich corals. Catch the ferry back across to Airlie Beach on the mainland, then hop on your coach and travel to Townsville. You’ll take a tour of this tropical city, then continue to the beautiful Mission Beach.
