Pop into a historic pub and hear tales of the town from a local landlord. Explore galleries, museums, and antique stores until it’s time to complete your journey and begin your night in the Rural City of Wangaratta.

Hear stories of Australia’s most infamous outlaw as you pass through Ned Kelly country on your way to cosmopolitan Melbourne. Once there, discover laneway cafés, creative centres, and world-famous sporting arenas. Melbourne is a hub for art, music, coffee, and food. Historic landmarks, from Flinders Street Station and the Old Gaol to the hidden Coop's Shot Tower, sit beside the modern attractions of Fed Square, the Yarra riverside, and a vibrant rooftop scene to rival any destination in the world.

Today is free for you to explore Melbourne as you wish. Get a bird’s eye view from the Eureka Skydeck. Take the tram to St. Kilda for a beach day among bookshops and cake cafés. Choose a day trip to the Penguin Parade at Phillip Island. Ride the Puffing Billy Steam Train. Take a wine tour into the Yarra Valley. Or just grab a coffee, admire the street art, and watch the world go by.

Take an epic drive along the Great Ocean Road. Witness the Twelve Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, and the London Bridge rock formations. Explore sleepy coastal towns and fill your photo gallery with memories on your way to the foreshore, beaches, and whale-watching lookouts of Warrnambool.

Start the day by getting to know local wildlife with an indigenous guide in the volcanic crater of Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve. Visit the Insta-worthy Blue Lake in Mount Gambier then take time for an afternoon tipple in the Coonawarra wine region. Get underground at Alexandra Cave before arriving for dinner in the heritage town of Naracoorte, your overnight home before a morning journey to Kangaroo Island.

Journey deeper into South Australia as you head for the hills and clifftops of the Fleurieu Peninsula. See the beaches and steam trains of Victor Harbor before boarding your ferry to the wildlife oasis of Kangaroo Island. Celebrate your arrival with a craft beer at the island’s only boutique brewery. Complete your journey to Kingscote, the oldest European settlement in South Australia, where dinner and overnight comfort are waiting.

Kangaroos do live on Kangaroo Island, but they aren’t the only creatures you’ll spot during your stay. After paying a visit to the incredible formations of Remarkable Rocks, take a trip to see the fur seals at Admirals Arch along with the koalas and wallabies close by. Stop for lunch in the sea air and complete your wildlife tour with an educational trip to the sea lion colony at Seal Bay Conservation Park.

Or find your perfect menu among the many restaurants of Australia’s foodie city.

Your last day in South Australia is set to be the most delicious. Spend a full day touring the hills and valleys beside Adelaide to discover the treat-filled German town of Hahndorf, traditional flavours from the historic South Australian Company Store, and famous wines from the Barossa’s small-batch cellar doors.
