020 3944 2201This nine-day tour takes in many exciting places in the USA and Canada. Your trip kicks off in Boston, where you’ll take in the historic Freedom Trail. Then you’ll board a luxury air-conditioned coach and make your way through the beautiful New Hampshire countryside with a stop in Stowe, en route to Canada.
You'll discover Quebec City, Montreal and Toronto – with a night in each – and a stop at Ottawa and Thousand Island, so you'll really get a taste of Canadian life. After a few days in Canada and a trip to Niagara Falls, you'll cross the border back into the USA and journey south to historical Gettysburg and Washington DC. Today, you'll hop aboard a luxury coach and drive to Canada. You'll travel through the rural New England states of New Hampshire and Vermont, passing picturesque villages and the White Mountains, which look particularly beautiful during the fall. Cross the international border to enter the Canadian province of Québec. Why not visit an authentic maple farm? And, in the evening, you can take the opportunity to sample some of celebrated French-Canadian cuisine.

Today you'll begin the day with a tour of Québec City, the capital of this French-speaking province and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. See the Québec Provincial Parliament Building and the Citadelle, then enjoy a walking tour of the walled city. You can see the Chateau de Frontenac and admire unparalleled views of the Saint Lawrence River.
Afterwards, you may wish to enjoy a pastry, baguette or candy treat and, if time allows, visit Rue du Tresor before driving to Montréal. Upon arrival, you'll have a tour of Old Montréal, with stops at Place Jacques Cartier and Notre Dame Basilica.

You'll leave Montréal behind and make tracks for Canada's capital, Ottawa. This vibrant city is home to lush parks and one of the most impressive parliament buildings in the world. In the afternoon, you'll continue along the 1,000 Islands Parkway to the largest English-speaking city in Canada, Toronto. On the shores on Lake Ontario, this vibrant city has plenty going on. Why not join an optional excursion on the St Lawrence River and take in the magnificent scenery on a relaxing cruise?

Begin the day with a drive through Toronto’s impressive collection of modern skyscrapers – most notably, the CN Tower, which is one of the world’s tallest free-standing structures. If you're feeling brave, you can opt to stand on the glass viewing station, more than 300 metres above Toronto. Later, you'll travel around Lake Ontario to Niagara Falls. Straddling the US-Canadian border, this force of nature is a wonder to behold. Stroll along Table Rock, see the unique Floral Clock, and view the thundering water of the Horseshoe Falls. And why not take an optional tour on the renowned Hornblower Cruises boat ride? You can go right up to the base of the falls and feel the mist on your face.

This morning, you'll journey through the rolling farmland of upstate New York, known as the Finger Lakes Region, and enter the Keystone State of Pennsylvania. Later, you'll visit the historic Gettysburg Civil War National Battleground. It was the site of the largest battle ever fought on American soil, and the place where President Lincoln gave his famous address in 1863. You'll then travel along the Susquehanna River to South Pennsylvania for an overnight stay.

Travel through rural countryside to Pennsylvania Dutch Country, where you can visit an Amish Museum to find out more about their 300-year-old tradition of simple living. The Amish people live in a world that stopped in the mid-1850s. They choose not to use electricity, mechanical devices, or any modern equipment. In the afternoon, you'll continue to the USA’s fascinating capital city, Washington D.C.

Enjoy a tour of the nation’s capital and tick off major sites like the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the White House and Arlington National Cemetery, which is the site of the JFK Memorial. You can spend the rest of the day however you wish. Why not explore one of the many museums comprising the Smithsonian Institute? Or simply stroll the banks of the Potomac River.

Before you head to New York, you'll head to historical Philadelphia, where you'll stop to see Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell.
Your trip ends in midtown Manhattan at approximately 5pm. You can either continue to the airport for your flight home, or spend a few extra nights in New York for more sightseeing and shopping.
