One of our most popular tours in western Canada this Pacific Rim Whales and Bears itinerary takes you over to Vancouver Island, where you will be able to enjoy the city sights in Victoria, British Columbia’s provincial capital, and also head out on a whale-watching boat trip. You’ll also spend some time in Tofino on the rugged east coast and go on a bear-watching tour so you can see these spectacular animals in their natural habitat. Your third stop is at the beautiful Sonora Resort which is located in the Discovery Island archipelago and accessed by water taxi from Campbell River. The resort offers a plethora of activities from hiking, swimming and tennis and you will have two nights here so you can enjoy a full day of activities. Lastly head back to the mainland and enjoy some time in vibrant Vancouver before your trip is over.
You can’t come to British Columbia without seeing the bears and the whales so why not book this trip and have it all included and sorted for you. The whale’s migration season on the west coast is May through to October and it’s not just humpback whales that travel up this part of the coast, it’s also orcas, grey whales and minke whales. The bears also come out of hibernation at a similar time to the whale’s migration season making it perfect to combine a trip to see both animals.
We have also added on a suggested add-on option so you can make the most of your time in British Columbia and spend some extra days seeing the bears and enjoying the beautiful landscape that they call home. Speak to our Travel Experts about tailoring this itinerary to suite you.
