0207 001 5916Embark on a journey across Southern Vietnam, starting in the pulsating city of Ho Chi Minh, then heading east to Mui Ne and finishing up on Nha Trang’s fine white sand beaches. There’ll be plenty of opportunities to learn about the countries rich history, explore Cathedrals built during the French occupation or get an insight into how Vietnamese soldiers carried out important tasks below ground in the Cu Chi tunnels. Once arriving in the coastal towns of Mui Ne and Nha Trang there’ll be plenty of opportunities to unwind on beautiful beaches and dine on freshly caught seafood.
Kick off your wondrous trip in the country’s biggest city, Ho Chi Minh. Home to a mammoth nine million people, this buzzing Southern city is a must on any Vietnam itinerary. History buffs will be in their element as the city’s filled with stories of the past. From European architecture built during the French occupation, to the more recent Cu Chi tunnels used throughout the Vietnam war. Ho Chi Minh is particularly intriguing though, mixed in with heritage buildings are gleaming skyscrapers and vibrant café lined streets alive with food markets and busy commuters going about their business. Take a stroll through the botanical gardens, home to thousands of exotic tree and plant species or spend some time appreciating local artists in one of the cities many art galleries.
Head east from Ho Chi Minh and you’ll arrive at the coastal town of Mui Ne. Over recent years the area’s been transformed from a sleepy town into a popular hotspot for beach breakers. Head to Bai Rang beach, a gorgeous stretch of white sand lined with coconut trees. Conditions here are perfect for swimming as well as surfing and kiteboarding. Although the shoreline is now scattered with hotels, Mui Ne’s authentic charm lives on through its colourful fishing village. Visit early in the morning as fisherman flock back to shore with their daily catch, or return in the evening with your bargain buys and choose a local restaurant to cook up the delicious seafood in front of your eyes. Don’t miss a trip to the White and red sand dunes, scale the desert like landscape by quad bike, buggy or even drift above at sunrise in a hot air balloon.
Your final stop on your Vietnam escapade is the glorious Nha Trang. With more days of sunshine per year than anywhere else in the country, it’s no wonder this beachside city is so popular amongst holidaymakers. Tran Phu Beach is the place to be, relax on a lounger with a cocktail in hand or take a dip in the crystal clear turquoise water whilst looking out to the surrounding 19 islands. Seafood lovers will adore this area as fresh shellfish and fish are the stand outs on menus all across town! Peel yourself away from the beach to explore Nha Trang’s cultural sites such as the Po Nagar Cham Towers and the cities impressive cathedral- a beautiful display of European architecture with ornate French inspired stain glass windows. End your adventures with a mineral rich mud bath using the areas rich clay, there’s three locations to choose from, all offering relaxing, skin healing treatments.
