Caesarea – Muhraka – Megiddo – Acre

After breakfast, you’ll leave Tel Aviv and take the scenic coastal drive along to Caesarea. Best known for once being the Roman capital of the region, this fascinating place has remnants of the ancient city, including a Roman theater and aqueduct.

You’ll then continue to UNESCO-listed Megiddo – the site of Armageddon – where you’ll learn the impressive history of this battlefield and visit archaeological excavations. Next it’s onto Acre. In this age-old settlement, you can explore the remarkable underground Crusader City and crypt, walk through the Old City, and stroll around the local market and scenic harbour.

After an action-packed day, you’ll travel to your boutique hotel in Galilee, where you’ll stay at the Sofia Sea of Galilee or similar.

Day 7

Qumran – Masada – Dead Sea

Today you’ll be able to discover the lowest point on Earth and float in the dense, salty waters of the Dead Sea. Your day starts with an early-morning drive through the Judean Hills to the Qumran Caves, where the Dead Sea scrolls were found. When you reach Masada, you’ll hop in a cable car and tour the mountain fortress built by King Herod, where you can still see age-old remnants of Herod’s Palace.

Once you reach the Dead Sea, you can go for a dip in the water and float without any effort – the water is so salty that it’s physically impossible for you to sink. Make sure you also cover yourself with the mineral-rich mud, as it’s believed to have therapeutic effects.

From the Dead Sea, you’ll return to Jerusalem to enjoy the last night of your holiday.
