Overview

You’re destined to fall in love with the mix of wild beauty and heritage-rich towns and cities as you journey from Pretoria to Cape Town on this deluxe three-day rail tour.

Pretoria is one of South Africa’s most graceful cities. And it’s a perfect departure point for this 1,600-kilometre journey which illustrates a world in one country – combining the appeal of city life, with majestic mountains and outstanding winelands.

By day, you’ll relax as the elegantly refurbished Edwardian-style train transports you through some of South Africa’s most captivating scenery, with stop-offs in historically interesting towns. As daylight fades, you’ll return to your spacious suite to freshen up and prepare for an evening of fine dining and exceptional wine.

Your leisurely tour will take you through the windswept grassland of the Highveld to the dusty landscape and big skies of the Great Karoo, as well as the lush Cape Winelands. On approach to South Africa’s vibrant Mother City, you’ll admire the iconic trio of Table Mountain, Devils' Peak and Lion's Head.
