Overview

A holiday to Australia and Samoa offers the chance to explore incredible natural landscapes, discover ancient Aboriginal and Polynesian cultures, meet locals with larger-than-life personalities, and come face-to-face with some of the world’s most diverse wildlife.

Where you go and what you see in Australia is up to you. We’ll arrange your accommodation for the first three nights and then we’ll send you off in a fully-equipped campervan to explore at your leisure.

If you’re a beach-seeker, why not fly into Sydney and follow the East Coast right up to Cairns? Discover beautiful bays, sail around the Whitsunday Islands and snorkel on the Great Barrier Reef. Or, if you want to meet the Aussie wildlife, how about starting your trip in Adelaide before heading to Kangaroo Island? You’ll find wallabies, koalas, kangaroos, echidnas, sea lions and even whales. From Adelaide, you can drive along the Great Ocean Road to Melbourne and onwards to Philip Island, which is famous for its little penguins.

From Australia, the next stop is beautiful Samoa in the heart of the South Pacific, where you will be greeted by warm smiles and breathtaking scenery.

Day 1-3:

Arrive in Australia

Welcome to Australia! Your Aussie itinerary can be entirely designed to suit you, so you can choose where to begin. Australia’s most iconic gateway city is Sydney and it sure won’t disappoint. Spend three nights in the Rocks, where you’ll have fantastic views of the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge, plus a whole host of restaurants, bars, shops and beaches nearby.

Alternatively why not opt for Melbourne? You can stay overlooking the Yarra River, explore the maze of laneways, and discover why it’s known as the coffee capital of Australia. Perth is another fantastic choice. It may be the world’s most remote state capital, but it offers incredible beaches, and world-class food and wine. Plus it’s just a short ferry ride to Rottnest Island where you can snap a selfie with a quokka!

Day 4-12:

Australia motorhome hire

From expansive Outback vistas to dramatic coastlines and lush green landscapes, Australia is up there with one of the best places on Earth for a road trip – so hiring a campervan is the best way to take it all in. You can choose your vehicle, your route, and travel at your own pace.

Western Australia’s coastline between Perth and Exmouth showcases pristine beaches, premium wine regions and spectacular Outback. Once north of Perth, you’ll discover the Coral Coast and its two UNESCO Sites, Ningaloo Reef and Shark Bay, explore the unique landscape of the Pinnacles Desert in Nambung National Park, and see dolphins feeding at the shoreline in Monkey Mia. Between March and July, you can even swim with whale sharks in Exmouth.

Or how about a campervan adventure in Queensland? This state is home to some Australia’s iconic attractions, from the Great Barrier Reef, to the Whitsunday Islands and the bright lights of Brisbane. But it’s also home to some lesser-known attractions. In Mackay you can watch wild kangaroos laze on the beach, you can quaff Australia’s most famous rum in Bundaberg, and you can visit one of the world’s only two everglade eco-systems in Noosa.

However you want to spend your time, we know Australia won’t disappoint.

Day 13-18:

Samoa

From Australia, it’s onto the beautiful Polynesian nation of Samoa, where you’ll find a truly authentic slice of the South Pacific. Spend five nights on the main island, Upolu, in an oceanfront hotel, as you experience the welcoming Samoan culture and explore the island’s natural wonders. There’s so much to see on Upolu. Don’t miss a visit to the To-Sua Ocean Trench, a 30-metre-deep natural swimming hole, formed when an old lava cave collapsed. Go beach-hopping along the coast or head inland to cool off beneath one of the island’s many waterfalls. The local markets in Apia are a must-visit, too. At Fugalei Market, you can check out the abundant fruit and local produce, drink fresh coconut water, and try some delicious Samoan cuisine.
