Day 1

Cairns – Port Douglas

Arrive into Cairns and make your way to you hotel in Port Douglas, an hour up the coast. Relax and unwind at the hotel or get out and explore this lovely town. Stroll along Four Mile Beach or sample some wonderful food from the multitude of cafes and restaurants on your doorstep.

Day 2

Great Barrier Reef

Take a high speed catamaran out to a floating pontoon on the Outer Great Barrier Reef where you will spend the day snorkelling and discovering a magnificent, underwater world. Upgrade options to scuba diving are available, please talk to your Travel Expert.

Day 3

Cape Tribulation and Daintree Rainforest

You’ve done the reef so now it’s time to tick off the rainforest. Learn about the fascinating secrets of one of the world’s oldest rainforests. Cruise on the Daintree River and keep you eyes peeled for crocodiles, tree snakes and unique plants. Enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch in the rainforest and visit Cape Tribulation, where the rainforest meets the reef. Walk on this world-renowned rainforest beach, admire the coastline and fringing coral reef from the Kulki Lookout. Stop for an afternoon refreshment at the Daintree Ice Cream Company and finish off with a stop to a spectacular lookout over the Daintree River Estuary, Snapper Island and beyond to the Coral Sea.

Day 4

Port Douglas

Today is free to spend at leisure. Relax at your hotel or enjoy Port Douglas’s beautiful beach which goes on for miles and miles. Alternatively opt to take a day trip. Why not head to the village of Kuranda which you can get to via the Scenic Railway or Skyrail Cableway and it takes you above the canopy of the rainforest with magnificent views over the Coral Sea.

Day 5

Cairns – Hamilton Island

Depart from Cairns and fly south to the beautiful Whitsunday Islands. Check in at Reef View Hotel on Hamilton Island and spend the day at leisure. Relax on your own private balcony, take a dip in the 35-metre swimming pool or take a stroll along the picturesque Catseye Beach.

Day 6, 7 & 8

Hamilton Island

Your time on Hamilton Island is yours to spend at leisure. Located in the heart of the Whitsundays you can’t miss a visit to the iconic Whitehaven Beach or a chance to snorkel on the Great Barrier Reef. You could even opt to take a sunset cruise. Speak to your Travel Expert for options.

Day 9

Hamilton Island – Sydney

Day 10 & 11

Sydney

Enjoy an included two-hour morning cruise of Sydney’s iconic harbour and spend the rest of your days in Sydney at leisure. Why not check out the iconic Bondi Beach, explore the Botanical Gardens, or take a tour of Sydney Opera House. Alternatively take a day trip to the Blue Mountains or climb the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Day 12

Sydney – Uluru

From Sydney fly to the outback town of Uluru and transfer to Ayers Rock Resort. Join a three day tour taking you from Uluru to Alice Springs. Visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre to learn more about the Western Desert region, then tour the sacred sites around the base of Uluru with a local Driver Guide. Walk to the Mutitjulu Waterhole, and view ancient Aboriginal rock art. In the late afternoon, relax with a glass of sparkling wine as the sun sets over Uluru, bringing out the myriad shades of colour for which the world’s largest monolith is renowned.

Day 13

Uluru – Kings Canyon

Rise early to watch the first rays of the sun rise as Uluru and the Red Centre alight. Later, travel to the mystical domes of Kata Tjuta. On the way enjoy panoramic views of the southern side of Kata Tjuta before arriving at the base of Walpa Gorge. Spend time exploring the gorge and the unusual conglomerate rock formations. This afternoon travel to Kings Canyon.

Day 14

Kings Canyon – Alice Springs

At sunrise, make the steep rocky climb to the rim of the Kings Canyon for spectacular views of Watarrka National Park. Follow the rim of the canyon, stopping to look down into the gorge from a series of lookout points along the way. The rim walk takes approximately three hours to complete and is rocky and steep in parts. If you wish to take an easier, shorter walk instead, you can explore the boulder-strewn canyon creek bed, getting up-close to the native plants and birdlife that call this part of the world home. Your Short Break concludes in Alice Springs.

Day 15

Alice Springs – Perth

Your final stop is Perth. Spend the next two nights at the luxurious Crown Metropol located on the shores of the Swan River. Enjoy the hotels 5* facilities or why not explore the nearby city centre or the beach side town of Fremantle.

Day 16

Rottnest Island

Cruise to Rottnest Island arriving at approximately 10.45am. Explore the beauty and tranquillityof Rottnest as you relax in the comfort of an air-conditioned coach. This 90 minute tour of the island takes you to some of Rottnest’s most spectacular locations and provides you with a complete interpretation of the island. Get an insight into the island’s cultural and historical heritage, diverse wildlife, fauna and social heritage. You will also have a chance to stroll along the boardwalk at the majestic look out point at West End. Enjoy lunch at Rottnest (Karma) Lodge, followed by free time at your leisure before boarding the ferry to depart the island.
