From Rainbow Beach drive to Hervey Bay. It’s a bit of a drive from Hervey Bay to Airlie Beach so we’ve included a night in the town of Yeppoon to break up the journey. Meander down Yeppoon’s main street or stroll the esplanade to browse beach-chic boutiques and surf stores and keep an eye out for one of the many new street art murals adorning local walls. Overnight at Salt, situated on Yeppoon’s magnificent Main Beach, offering unsurpassed ocean views from every luxurious apartment.

Arrive into Airlie Beach and settle into Coral Sea Marina Resort. Spend a couple of days here exploring the magnificent Whitsunday Islands and soaking up the sunshine. There are a multitude of excursions on offer but you can’t beat a cruise to see the iconic Whitehaven Beach and snorkelling in the pristine turquoise water. If you want to get a whole different perspective of the reef you could even take a scenic flight.

It’s a fairly long drive today but you can travel at your own leisure. And the destination, Mission Beach, is worth the long journey. Nature takes centre stage at Mission Beach with its long unspoilt beaches, lush rainforest and multitude of marine life. This easy going destination is perfect for relaxation or discovering adrenaline pumping outdoor activities. You will spend two nights at Castaways Resort & Spa located on the beachfront.
